everyone talks about the jrsc. those numbers are very week for what that charger is putting out. the vortech seems much better and well worth the money. i think its 276 hp once the install is done. an evo 8 has the same numbers but costs $30k.
question is does anyone have one installed. whats the specs on your 1/4, 0-60 etc. how long was the install?

I don't think that vortech currently offers any tuning for the svt kit. and sure you may have 276 hp, but you don't have nearly as much torque as you would with a turbo. and you're right about the jrsc. it is weak because it's not a quality set up. it's non intercooled, and it has crappy tuning. you can get better tuning - for a price - but it's still rather limited

hahah u guys are funny, i can see that much w\ a jrsc putting close to that down. i was going 2 try it but im giving up on it.
but i do like the vortech kit it a sweet kit to have. just watch that shaft after a while.
just have it tuning on a dyno by a good tuner.

Not quality? I have the JRSC on my car and I am very happy with it. I had mine dyno tuned by tom. It is good for people who are wanting to equal out power to handling and braking being they are a little slack on the power section.

again, it all comes down to opinion. I'll agree that having tom tune it is the best way to get the most out of it, but I have a very strong belief in not running FI without intercooling. I consider any non intercooled kit to not be worth much. I will say that tom's stage 1 kit is quality for what it is, but I just don't think it's worth it to run any kind of boost without proper cooling. that's just me though, and I'm not trying to bash on tom. he's filling a demand that the market has presented in the best way possible, but I would never consider a non intercooled kit for my own car. again, that's my opinion, not tryin to rain on anyone's parade. if it makes you happy, kudos

Well even the jrsc, you can get a liquid water intercooling system from jr. Don't exactly know how they work. I have heard that it runs like a fuel injector and just mists water into you intake, but not enough to hydro lock it. I think I am going to get this kit and see how it works because some sort of cooling with FI is wise. If any one know how it works let me know. Does it hook into the harness of your car to pulsate faster as rpms go up? and such.

i honestly would take the powerworks kit over either............................or turbo
