With the low negative temps in New England the past few days I've noticed that my car really isnt happy about starting in the morning, usually it takes a few times for it to turn over. My question is this, black smoke is pouring out of my tail pipe when it first starts adn it rumbles a lot and doesnt want to stay running unless I pump the gas until its going good... is that smoke just from the cold? It's going in next tuesday to have a power lock looked at, wondering if I should have them check the engine also?

Check the engine, black smoke isnt good. Could be an exhaust leak or oil burning. Do you have an aftermarket exhaust?

black smoke = too rich. Have them check it out when it is in.

No aftermarket exhaust, the car is only like 4 months old! and what does too rich mean had one?

Means its burning too much oil.
Also, no worries on taking too long to turn over, mine does it too. This morning it took a few seconds for it to turn over. So does my EVO. So, i wouldnt say its a problem.

So how do I fix that? Do you think thats my problem? blah...

Have your dealer fix it. Black Smoke is not good for any reason, that equals a quick call "Hello Service, I'm coming in now."
Keep us posted on the results. [;)]

To rich means too much fuel for the about of air being being injected into the combustion camber. (cyclinders) Usually oil burning = blue smoke.
