What is Domestic Disturbance?
Domestic Disturbance is a car club for Domestic Sport Compacts. The name is an analogy for domestic cars to make a disturbance in the sport compact car scene that is overrun by imports. The name is not meant to be a pester to any local law enforcement and is in no way affiliated in any other club by the same name. You will know a real DD car when you see one!
What kind of club are we?
Domestic Disturbance is a car club that attends any and every type of automotive exhibition imaginable. We have separated events into three main categories. Car Shows, Drag Racing, and Road Racing.
Car Shows: Any event where your car is on display or in competition based on sound (i.e. Db drags).
Drag Racing: Any competitive quarter-mile racing event (bracket racing and head to head).
Road Racing: Any competitive racing event including Road Racing, Auto Cross, and Rally Cross.
Domestic Disturbance is only as good as its members and for that reason we expect every member to work hard and keep the best interest of the club in mind. Further information about duties to the club can be found in the rules section.
Domestic Disturbance Rules:
1 - All cars must be a domestic sport compact, small SUV, or muscle car.
2 Membership dues are $5 a month and we do require that every member must have a Domestic Disturbance banner on the front windshield. Members on the drag racing team can opt to run their banner on the back of their car. The membership dues helps pay for this site, our electricity at car shows, and any other expense that the club might have.
3 All members must compete in at least 3 shows or races per year. This is not up to debate. In order to make a name for ourselves, we need to hit as many events with as many cars as we can.
4 All cars must be modified in some way. See below for the break down of what modifications are expected for each respective class.
Show Cars:
All show cars must have AT LEAST 3 different exterior modifications (Bumper, headlights, wheels, spoiler, etc.). Three is the minimum but you will be expected to build on that.
Drag Racers:
All drag race cars must have AT LEAST 3 different engine modifications (Intake, exhaust, cams, etc.). Again, three is the minimum and you will be expected to build upon that.
Road Racers:
You will be the only cars in Domestic Disturbance allowed to have a stock car. We all know that it takes more driving skill than horsepower to win in these events. However, we do require that you have a few races under your belt before you will be qualified to be a member of the club and we do still encourage you to modify your car.
