hey tom im n/a but i wanted to kno if i can do a turbo timer? do u install one on ur focus'? if so give me some detail u have a harness for our cars...u sell it what timer u use? etc...thanks!

Yes you can install a turbo timer. I assisted a friend install a greddy timer on his miata. a few wires need to be spliced. If I remember correctly, you need to splice a 12v always-on constant power, 12v switched power, rpm singal, maybe something else besides the ground.

I don't think wiring harnesses are made, But I could be wrong. Installation shouldn't be very difficult and it probably won't take more than an hour if you know what you are doing. Japanses instructions sometimes get translated to english pretty well... =)

turbo timers are worth every penny. unless you keep your car idling for 5 mins every time you go somewhere all the oil that is in your turbo cools down and stays in your turbo. over a period of time this process will ruin your turbo, not to mention put sludge into your engine. buy one! as any dsm driver will tell you, they are worth it!

First you DONT need to idle your car for 5 min with a turbo at most after a long hard pull you need to allow 30 Sec

No oil can stay in the turbo because the drain back is open all the time and draining

Turbo timers back in the old school days were there to give the turbo a chance to cool down and slow down before you turned off the key, If you didnt let it cool/spool down the turbo would keep spinning after the engine is shut off and the oil would drain out the bearings and run dry. With todays turbo bearing technology this just isnt needed any more
