Ok, I keep hearing that the zx2 transmissions do brake down easily from another forum. What I need to know is what other upgrades are there that I can do on a ZX2 tranny besides better clutch and a LSD? (Bearings, spider gears, ECT.)
I want to make it as daily driven as possible, with that in mind I need to make the tranny much safer taking on 300hp. I need your advice on what to do with the tranny while itís out of the car to avoid costly repairs?

There isnt anything that i know of to add to make it stronger, I have a ZX2 doing 314 and it hasent had any trans issues yet but he does not drag race it i dont think

Is the 314 hp on stock engine internals? And the bearings that you sell those are just for the LSD that comes with in the package?

The 314 was on one of our built engines , I dont have anything for the ZX2 trans

Whats built on that 314 zx2 motor? Any work done on the Crank? Head? Well i know forged rods and pistons.

Stock crank focus-power head , FR intake , 70MM TB , Crower rods and forged pistons

Coming from the ZX2 world, I looked for options like this myself. www.zxtuner.com does sell a stronger tranny with better gearing for ZX2s. Other than that, you're looking at 3000+ for a Level10 bulletproof transmission, and that's about it.

I just want to clerify with you Tom that the LDS made for any MTX- 75 will fit the Escort ZX2 as well? Also will the torsen 2 the T2 LSD fit the ZX2?

okay i found out that mtx-75 is a different transmission. How many LSD's will fit the ESCORT zx2 trans? And your 318 hp escort zx2 , what LSD does it have?
