I wanted to know if i should go with a Nitrous system. Jegs has a great deal on a Venom kit only 455.
Should i go with it? right now all I am running is a intake but i like the MBRP Exhaust .
Anyone got any pros and cons of this system or nitrous in general. There is a fill up station close enough to my house. does anyone know how much it cost to fill a ten pound bottle?

Well this is kinda a tough call i quess. I have nitrous and its actually cost me some money now to run it safely. I toasted a exhaust valve just on a 50hp wet shot but this rarely happens from what people tell me go figure. But my whole setup after the little tid bits and bottle heater plus install was over a $1000. Plus thats not including all of my mods i just bought since i messed up my cylinder head. I say go for it but get your car tuned to work absolutly perfect when your on the bottle. If i could go back in time i prolly would of passed on the nitrous and saved up more money for bigger better things. But thats just my opinion and i will say when the nitrous is going you can sure feel it. Oh yea and most places usually charge about $3.50 a pound on nitrous so about $35 on 10lbs, but sometimes you can find a place or hopefully know someone who fills it for ya and you can get it pretty cheap.
hope this helps

nitrous is cheap horsepower if that is all you want i would get it but nothing can beat the psssswww sound of a turbo. and whats the diff between the vcn-1000 and the vcn-2000

ones a more advanced kit that can control and watch the fuel mixture.
ok ill just stick with the exhuast and have power all the time.

Nitrous is cool, but doing it on the cheap will risk damage to your car. Search around the FI forum if you're serious about it...IIRC there was a nice informative pinned thread near the top.

It is cheap at first. you have to keep filling your bottle and that aint free, plus it only works a t full throttle, and only in a srtaight line. If u do chose to use nitrous use porcelain plugs not platnium or iridium if u are going above 50-75 shot nitrous eats at those plugs not instantly but it does. plus if your engine goes lean for just a second for any reason BOOM!!! trust me I have seen melted pistons that the molten metal went out the exhaust port.

I think it works well in small amounts in a stock car... Read the nitrous sticky abovr for some more info. ^^^

ya with this venom setup its cool because its totaly computer based. you get a moniter that controls the fuel to air ratio. its really hi-tech for anyone who needs it . but, still I want to stick to HP 24/7

I've had nitrous for about a year and the only thing I would change is beefin up my motor a little more, so I wouldnt be worried about blowin it all the time. You cant beat how cool it looks blowin off nitrous out of bolth sides of the car! About half the people I race back down when they see a purge. It does get spendy after a while I probably spent 40 bucks a week for the first three months i had it. With my settup i can change the jetting for about five bucks and five minutes of work which leaves me with endless amounts of possibilities to upgrade the shot.
