Will the Roush Kit cause me to fail inspection in Virginia? I know it retains the cat, I was planning on getting an RT Cat along with 3" Trubendz cat-back...will I pass emissions/inspection with this set-up, or will I have to go the carb-legal route? (JRSC, powerworks)

I think Roush is looking for carb legal, if it isn't already.

There is NO reason why it shouldn't. Other then the visual inspection, my car passes emmissions with no cat, no egr, no evap, no #2 H02 sensor, nothing. YOu should be fine.

Duffman, how do you like the Roush kit? I am saving for it right now. YOu said it retains the cat. Do you mean the stock or do you have something else? I also plan to get the RT high-flow cat with the Roush, but I wasn't sure if it would work or not. I'm guessing yes since you said it retains a cat. I hate the fact that VA is a emissions test state. Where do you get your testing done? I get mine at the dealer here in Alexandria. Although, I haven't done much yet to my ride. However, I'd really like to know your opinions of the Roush, cause I wanna get!!

well I'm in the same boat as you, hustler. I am looking to buy it, and yes it does retain the stock cat I believe. So the stock cat could be replaced by the RT. But I'm not sure what to do emissions wise, I haven't even had to get it inspected since I bought it from carmax...it's coming up though, but all I have is an intake so it'll probably be fine.

Id rather get the Presicion Turbo and Engine Turbo kit. It comes with everything youll need included and it looks awesome on it. The dynos were really impressive.

The RT cat will work with this setup. The kit we installed we used the RT cat on.

So you got those numbers with a cat in place?? Even better. I did not know that. Does the car have any CEL after the tuning is done?? That is pretty much all we need in Maryland to pass on an OBD II car is no CEL

I thought Roush was Carb Certified.
