I've got the VF Engineering one. The install was quite straight forward on what to do. The hardest part is removing the front axle and half shaft to tap the skirt. After that its all down hill and quite ease and simple.
It leaves the engine bay looking quite clean and almost stock looking. One thing I would suggest is a set of race headers if you don't have some already...
Support from FocusSport/VF is awsome, these guys are real quick to reply and very helpfull. It is an entry level kit(stage 1), they are also working on an intercooler option for this kit which will keep the IAT's at bay. Right now the IAT's are actually quite low considering its non intercooled and the location of the intake.
The nice thing about this is that it comes with EVERYTHING you need to install it. Even the socket for the MAF, yep its included. Bolts, etc are all zip tied to the part they should be used on. I have NEVER seen a product that came so well organized for installation...(for the focus).
Usually you get a bag of bolts/nuts and gotta figure it out what goes where and usually end up with too few or too many bolts/nuts/washers, etc....

I just drove the Power works Focus this weekeend at the all Ford Nationals. It is by far one of the most well constructed Superchargers I have been exposed to. I also like the like how all of the components are are right inside of the rear of the engine bay. There is no placement of bars and what not. Everything is inside the Intake manifold area. If I were you I would check it out because it looks stealth as all hell. When I was riding in it we reached no plataeu for power output. It just kept giving more and more power.

I have never considered FI until I drove the powerworks car. I was NA all the Way but now I am thinking a little differenytly.

okey thanks turbo_focus for that. just wanted to know what you guys thought about the kit. well now i know. and you mentioned that they where working on a intercooled one. lets say I get this kit now, would it be possible for me the convert that kit into a intercooled one, if you know what i mean.

as with all kits you should be able to move from stage 1 to stage 2 to stage 3, etc. The cost would be higher than buying stage 3 off the line but you have the benefit of moving up slowly without breaking the bank in one shot.
Its best to call focussport reguarding this tho, I can't speak for them :)

okey thans. yes i totally agree with you that focussport is great. have bought several things from them. but ill give em a call and see what they have to say.

Turbo-focus has also had a turbo ask him if he could have either what one would he have and what one felt the best
Most if not all that drive SC and say how great thry are have never drove one with a turbo done properly
Look at all your options out there , you have
I feel there listed in the order of best power , tq and all out fun

I've had both, the power of a turbo is real nice. But I still ended up with a supercharger......... the one at the bottom of Toms list no doubt.
Several factors come into play, like cost, ease of install, maintenance, reliability etc. And what power needs you want. Choose the one thats right for you and you'll be happy.

We'll officially start this project right after Focus on the Beach. We just needed to make sure the intended components would actually fit under the hood. As soon as we have spec and pics, we'll be sure to list them on our site.
