it put down 171 whp, 156 wtq...and before i installed the guage, ray at mcnews said prolly about 9 1/2 psi it should be running. well i got the guage installed, but the tubing coming out of the guage was too small, so its connected with some compression fittings to a bigger tube that goes into the back of the SC. would this be why it isn't showing that much boost? Because 6.5 compared to 9.5 lbs is a big difference

for that power and your mods, you are making more then 6.5psi... its the gauge...and at what rpm are you reading this?

My BBK reads the same 6-7 as yours. Where did you run your line under the hood at. I ran mine through a plastic plug in the door jam. After inspecting it though I noticed that when the door is shut it puts pressure on the line and put a small kink it it. Something similar might be your problem . Check along the entire run of the hose and make sure there arent any sharp bends or kinks in it. But I agree with the above post that those numbers are right in line with 9- 10 lbs of boost so its just your gauge not reading right.

Yea mine is routed through the door jam, i tested it out one time n kept my eyes on the boost guage, it was only at 6.5 n before i knew it i was hitting the rev limiter... there are not any kinks in it...anymore

is there any kind of digital way that i can check the boost?

The open exhaust system gives you less manifold pressure. You make good power I wouldn't worry about the boost pressure. We just tuned a 05 GT Mustang with a 9psi Procharger with his exhaust it only had 6 psi.

Just to add a little info. We have had 4 different boost gauges read different numbers on a wrx we were tuning. ( 2 were real close one was a pound low and one was 3 lbs high ). Sometimes a less expensive gauge will not read quite right..
