Why do you like your SVTF so much.?

1. Comfortable and Reliable.
2. Fast and Exiting
3. Looks pimp and it just as fast

heh...Rock on. I just got back from running some errands, and interstate driving is so freakin' fun... high rpm on ramp merging, quick double-clutch passing, and tight steering...

*sigh* I need to run more errands! [:D]

i like the styling, and the performance vs cost ratio is great.

i love it when people say "you drive a focus?" when they sit inside they are like wow this IS nice. Makes me smile everytime...such a sleeper car.

i wouldn't agree with the reliable part as much as i hate to say that but i truly love this car and when i pass it on to my brother hes gonna love it to ... he better or im gonna kill him

These cars are true sports cars- from the way they look, sound , and feel . They have a rare design balance of handling, acceleration and braking. I do not see any thing like it being produced now ,or possibly ever again (espically for under 20 K new). If you are willing to put up with the odd quirks and production line defects found on some of our SVTFs you are driving a car that only a true sports car driver could appreciate.

"Driving Value"

You can spend more on a car that's faster. You can spend more on a car that handles better. You can spend a WHOLE LOT more on a car that's faster AND handles better. But, it's tough to touch a total package this nice for this kind of $$$.

Ditto on all the other stuff mentioned (quirky looks, performance stealth, etc.) but that's what it came down to in the end for me. I'm able to spend much more on a car than I spent on this one. But, why do so if you don't HAVE to in order to find something fun to drive.

Hmmmm, in point form but in no order...
-sense of exclusivity....really how often do you pass one?!!
-merging onto onramps in 2nd/3rd and deliberately looking in the sideview for an oncoming driver in your lane of entry but SAFELY hammering it to get well ahead of him, all the while having them eventually get close enough to see it's 'just a Focus'...'WTF??'!!
-the radio controls on the steering column
-the beauty of a black and blue interior....(never could stand grey) and the SVT has a very nice design
-the fact that when the rear seats are folded and the flat cushion is folded up, you can fit 2 mountian bikes or 4 full 18" wheels with tires back there - EXTREMELY roomy little car
-actually has a backseat that friends don't complain being in - I'm 6''1" and there's tons of room for me back there
-getting 26-28 combined (mostly city) mpg all the while having a blast occasionally taking 'er up to redline
-handing and predictability that is simply sublime and beyond anything I can compare it to except possiblythe Cooper S or Mazdaspeed Protege (in it's segment), but one drives too stiff, the other's a 4 door!
-the sweet, sweet sound of the exhaust especially when you have a CAI/short ram and you hit the d.s.i....or whatever that (sorry) 'Ford v-tec' thing is called...I forget - kinda like a 4 barrel carb opening up!
-the heated seats when winter hits ....mmmmmm, toasted tastes better!!
-tilt AND telesoping steering wheel/electro-luminescent gauges/6 speed tranny (well, the bragging rights!)/the aluminum pedals/the auxilary oil guages/that subtle rear spoiler/pretty thumping Audiophile system
-the amazing brakes - it's these that allow it to pace the Cobras' and Lightings on SVTOA road course days with well less than 1/2 the power!

...there's probably more but you get the point....LOVE IT!

My SVTF is THE fastest road car I have ever owned. Sure, the 454 Camaro will beat it bad in a drag race, but from 'here to there' the Focus will arrive first. AND get over 30 MPG while doing it!

It also holds my personal record as the least modified car ever owned. Only a Mac lower mount, K&N Drop-in and FS Tune. All the rest of the car is good enough to stay as is and this is a great compliment to Ford. I DO love the car.
