Ok im seriously thinking about getting this kit but Id like to know some things. About my car, its a 02 Zx3 44k miles, dino oil changes about every 5k.
1. Can it be installed at home like the standard kit?
2. What if any parts do I need to upgrade or replace in preparation for this kit?
3. Is this a kit that can be installed and then you drive or do you need to tweak and tune? I plan on using the recomended parts in the kit.
4. Is this a reliable kit? Meaning is the reflashed ecu tuning something I can count on to not grenade my engine?
5. Future questions or if youd like to add something else that is important.
Thanks for your input.

all i can say is that the bbk is great, ive had it for like 2 weeks now, and enjoy the power every moment i step on it. you will not need it tuned as long as you dont mess with the air intake, just use the svt intake that comes with the kit, ford racing specifically tuned the kit for that. you can install it at home, but i would recommend that something this expensive is done right, so i'd take it to Mcnews, where mine was done. 780 for install, i see you live in MD, so do I, Mcnews is just a 30 min. drive from carroll county, and they know the focus inside and out!!! ill post a vid for you

Thanks for the reply joe, so does the kit comme with a detailed instruction booklet? I helped my friend with his VW 1.8t turbo upgrade and his kit came with a fricking instruction novel. I feel like I can do the install thats why I ask.

I saw that one person ran a 14.9 with the BBK and had an ATX. So Im figuring that this kit will produce atleat a 14.5 time out of a MTX car. Am I nuts in thinking that? Im just trying to guage what kinda performance im gonna get out of this investment. Because a reliable 14 1/2 sec focus sounds pretty nice to me.
Thanks.

1 car with an ATX ran a 14.9 and we have another that is making a little more power that we tuned running 14.2. I believe with good driving and decent tires mid 14's shouldn't be a problem with a manual.

Thank you all for your replys. I feel confident in getting this kit now. All I have to do now is talk myself into parting with the 2800[:D] .
Thanks again.
