hello everyone i havent posted anything in a long time.2 months ago i had my car serviced for clutch repalcement.when i got it it was making a wierd noise when i would shift and it would rattle the shifter i first thought it was the heat sheild but i knew that had nothing to do with.what could it be?

I was having a rattle too, no heatshield, clutch TSB is done.

You can try and get it up in the air and turn it on and see where the rattling comes from. There are 3 heatshields on the cat.

I'll look into that ps, but its strange because my shifter rattles when it makes the noise.kinda grinding noise or rattleing noise.it happens when im in gear and neutral.

All of that stuff connects under the car too, so you can check your shift linkage and all that as well and see if it is loose or something.

Hey guys! I had the clutch tsb042119 done on my car about four weeks ago. When I got it back it still had a rattle that I could feel through the shifter. I took it back three weeks later and the dealer replaced my transmission. I don't think rattling from a shield will be felt through your shifter. I recommend therefore to take your car back to the dealer and tell them about the noise and take a tech out for a road test.
