I got a question I dont have any sppehut gauges(I didnt buy them cause they didnt make the oil ones) now I can but do the oil ones plug in to the same inverter as the dash ones do?

How tight do you guys thing the reverse glow Jet black and Red would look for all the gauges? Only thing im concerned about is how well the red on black will show up during the day (the night is gonna be siiiick [thumb])

I can't believe that in the poll like 40 people said they "definitely wanted" these guages, and now that Alex went through all the time and personal effort to bring this opportunity to the SVT owners that everyone disappears.

Does the gauges come with a new cluster bezel with the coin holder removed to make space for the gauges? I have seen a lot of people fiberglass a gauge into the section where the oil gauges should be.

No this is for SVTs who already have the oil cluster. If you have a ZX3 you can just order the guages without the oil cluster.

Does anyone know where I can find SVT gauge cluster for cheap? I want to put small Autometer gauges in the coin holder section.

i saw a couple on ebay, just search for focus svt, thats where i normally come across one, but there a little pricey, around 150$ but its a good investment, also hit up SVT Salvage, they may be able to get you one....

I'm going to start talking to some of the SVT owners in my area and see if they want these gauges.

im pretty sure you can get blue and others along with the green, i got the reverse glow and theres about 15 different options for colors....

These guages along with changing the rest of the interior lighting (hu, odo, hvac, etc.) to blue, is going to be kick arse, I can't wait!

to be honest they completly gave me a new feel for the interior of my car, i got the black face with blue back glow, and its suprising how they have a stock focus zx3 look, with a sleeper svt feel

im torn between getting these gauges or getting my tint first? how long do we have until this offer is no longer available?? tint is gonna cost me $230 including windshield. im stuck![confused]

if i remember correctly the tooling begins once they get all the preorders and could take 3-6 weeks for everyone's to be made, so we've all been itching to get the ball rolling because it takes that long even after all the orders are placed, tommorow i'll take a pic of mine just to show the look of mine, (black with blue backlite)

So my tranny just went out today and I'm thinking of tossing the SVT and getting into a foreign job. This threads been going on for a while now, I changed my gauges and the whole interior color and have to shed a few tears now that I see that the Aux. gauges are getting ready to be tooled up. I'll contribute to the cause to help out everyone here.

Okay I placed my order like I said I would, I hope Alex is correct about the 15 orders to start production. Because they haven't updated there website.

Only 2 orders left to fill. Someone that's going to keep there SVT should probably double up to help the cause. I'm selling my car or I would buy two more.

I would love to contribute to the cause, but I've got a few questions first:

1. Do the rest of you ordering these already have gauges from speedhut? I ask because it looks like you need the inverter from that kit to light these things.

2. Is it possible to run these off the stock dash lighting wiring?

3. Would these match the stock gauges when the light up? It looks like speedhut's EL-Glo lights up blue.

4. What is everyone else putting on their gauges for logos / text? I was planning on putting the PIRANHA emblem there, but when I go through their order process, it charges me for it, and 45 bucks for these gauges isn't quite as good a deal.

Sorry for the inundation, but I wanna get that tooling going too!

1. I don't have the main gauges yet. I only know a few people do.

Hey, thanks nootch. You make a good point about checking them out in person and mismatching.

That thread you pointed me to; I think that you would need to buy the full gauge kit to do that (the oil gauges don't come with an inverter). Not a big deal. Like you said, if this goes through, it's time to buy the full kit to match it up.

It would still be cool to hear what you're all planning on doing with your gauges. I think I'm going to go for the Jet Black with red lettering to go with my red interior.

Did you switch all of your LEDs to red too? I've been trying to talk my friend into doing that to his silver svtf. I think it'd look sweet.

I'll probably have to order up the inverter seperately to make my decision between the two and then see if I can get the mains, minus the inverter.

Haven't switched them over yet, but that's in the cards. Fortunately (and unfortunately) I have some time to gather parts and draw up a battle plan. That whole tooling time thing is a global evil. I design medical implants and instruments and a typical lead time for a prototype is in the 8-10 week time. Unfortunately I've got used to waiting [?|]

Once I get the gauges and do it all up I'll post pics to help your case with your friend [cool]

On an unrelated note: I was about 2 blocks from my house and hit a pothole that blew my front right. NOT COOL. I actually pulled behind another girl who had just blown here tire too. A bad enough problem that I think the company who had been working on the natural gas line there is going to pony up for the tire. Too bad all four didn't blow so I could take the money and upgrade to something other than the stock Conti's.

I'm driving a loaner now (20,000 mile service, wash and wax) with black gauges, and it's Metric numbers were in red. It got me all psyched about my red on black oil gauges[:D].

It sure would be nice if they started tooling now [woot].

Most of the examples I see have SpeedHut on them somewhere.

WD40 , from what I can tell, they do all have the logo. When you're configuring your gauges with that little flash program they have, it seems to have it on there. And like you said: all of the examples I've seen have that there too. I can't really blame them, but it seems kind of odd since they let you custumize them in just about every other way.

I would get them but I rather not have the Speedhut logo.

Just use a little enginuity (sp) and find something to cover those logos. LOL

As I understand it, the reverse glow dials only light up the numbers, where the normal EL-GLO dials only light up the background. I guess I don't get exactly what you're trying to accomplish. Is this right?

During the day:
Silver Background / Red Font

During the night:
Black Background / Glowing Red Font

If that's it, then you can get that (Reverse Glo - Metallic Silver w/ Red Font). If you're trying to get the background to glow red, then I don't think you'll be able to (the Blood Red w/ White Font looks the closest, although it looks like it'll be kinda purple at night).

^^ I believe that you are correct on that. With EL-Glow, the back lights up just like the stock gauges do. The reverse glow lights up the numbers. My mom's Explorer has revese glow on it.

Well, I just checked my online bank account and Speedhut charged me the full amount so I'm guessing they started tooling.....I e-mailed them back to see if they did begin tooling or not so I will have an answer as soon as they reply.

Oh yeah, I envy your color, Jessica. As I already told WD40, I couldn't find a blue one within 500 miles of me by the time I could afford to buy the car.

PS. Chicks who drive sticks are hot. My girlfriend has a MINI Cooper S. Same 6-Speed Getrag our cars have; BMW and Ford sourced the same one. The only problem is that she has to use both arms to get it into reverse most of the time [limp].
