Ahh nice. I was waiting for this vid to show up. My dad's Cobra is the only Dark Shadow grey one on there. He ran a 10.66 @ 135.5. I was actually videoing that run, you can hear me say "NICE!" at the end of it lol. I also videoed the last Sonic Blue one that ran 10.56. BTW, the yellow cobra you saw by Stictly Pro was using a 250 shot of juice, so lol, that is prolly why he is running 9s lol.

Haha...it is a pretty hefty list, but i will tell what i have to my knowledge. In that run he had a 2.2L KB Blower at 19 - 2? psi (I think that was the boost), 4R70W AOD tranny, E.T. Streets and skinnies, Larger Intercooler, SCT Tuning (by him [:)] ), Solid axle w/ Locker 3.73, I think the exhaust is a 3 or 3.5 inch MAC exhaust - no cats. There are prolly more mods but I can't remember. I think he has enlarged the fuel lines and put bigger fuel rails on the car, but that was after the 10.6 run. He still has stock exhaust manifolds and hasn't even pulled the Valve covers off. He has the rear seat and spare removed, and a 6 point roll cage. His newest run was a 10.43@132.2 with a 2.4L KB, yanking the front tires about 2-3 inches in the air.

There is a guy at my work that's obsessed with evo's. anyways, I showed him the 2003 cobra video, and he doesn't believe me that that those cars come stock with a blower. He said those guys musta "put at least 30k in mods to make them that fast"....lol most those guys probably haven't put much more than 5k to break 10's.

lol...5K for 10s if they put NOS on the car[:p] More like 10 grand for 10s. Those aftermarket blowers are pricey. 5K is almost how much the blower costs lol.

Only 10k for that kind of performance is amazing. All we gotta do now is make them handle.

Honestly, a blower upgrade and tuning isnt that amazing lol. The cars already come with a built block for the power. I mean when you buy the car you pay for what you get. But a full street car running low 10s is very kool. Not many cars can do that and be street drivable.

you guys are forgetting the sticker price on them. if you total what you paid for the car in the first place with the mods you add on it's pretty expensive, but 10 grand in mods is definitely a good deal to run 10's

even 10k to run 10's is amazing. I'd like to see an evo do that.

the blower cobras were built for performance. In the aftermarket stang world, they are insane. Spend 5k-6k for a KB blower, up the boost and already the thing is moving. Isn't stock 1/4's in the 12s for those?? Pretty badass car if you have the money.

yes, mid 12s i believe. But my dad put exhaust, smaller blower pulley, bigger crank pulley, and a tune on it and had it into the 11s so these cars are very mod-worthy..lol.

12.2 was best 1/4 mile time on stock 03 cobra. Add a pulley and your in the 11's. Ive even seen stock blower dip into the high 10's. And he will be back soon at FFW at Cordova dragway here in a couple weeks. Sweet a$$ video.

I have seen a stock blower in low 11s...but most of the guys running 10s with the eaton have had it ported or are spray'n a 50 shot for cooling the blower.

12.2? sounds a little too good to me. I heard the fastes stock was a 12.6 on stock radials..it was in MM&FF a couple years ago.

yea on stock radials...this time was prolly from drag radials or slicks and maybe skinnies up front.

in my opinion i would just do the v8 swap on a focus and put the kb and all the other mods on the motor. cause the focus is a grand lighter and would probably be a lil cheaper with all the mods.

dont forget to reinforce ur car or the motor and wheels might run away from u....lol i doubt that would happen but it would pretty funny to see..lol. Ne way omg the cobra is an amazing car i wish i had one. I already love the mustang and the cobra is that much better.
