I know you have tuned Aerochargers, but have you tested a VNT for your own kit? The main reason for asking is the aim to gain fuel efficiency. The VNT appears to offer valuable torque in the sub 3000 rpm range. Would you ever consider a VNT as an option for your stage 1 kit?

What about a variable vane turbo?

Not realy , I have found that to gain bottom end TQ needs to be a very small turbo and very limited on upper power for later
97% of all my turbo customers ALLWAYS want more later and this would mean changing to a larger turbo anyway
If some one wan wanting to only get low end grunt and knew for a fact that they would never want any more (yea right) then there are turbos out there that will make lower TQ that i now have but will run out at about 190 to 200HP , Just not worth it to the 97% of the customer base

For the sake of discussion, and I hear you on the want more power part, but what kind of tq peak rpm are these types of turbos noted for having? Full boost by what rpm?

I have seen turbos make full boost at 2800 to 3000 and that was 12psi but there costly and were not on a Focus and maxed out at 11PSI
Just to small to realy work with
