OK I just swapped a 2002 focus engine into my mystique with only 8k miles. Now I have done custom turbo setups in the past but I have a question. I still have the factory focus exhaust manifold sitting around could I use that as the turbo manifold by welding on a flange? Has anyone done it/pics? I searched but found little. Thanks

OK cool thats good. Now in the past I have turboed speed density systems, the mystique and focus both have a MAF. I am using low impedence 27lb injectors from a chrysler 2.2 turbo. I am able to run low impedence injectors with the use of a resistor pack from an older accord. Does the focus also have a MAP or does it only depend on the MAF? IF it does have a MAP do I need to install a check valve to prevent the MAP from detecting the boost and throwing a CEL? Also I am using a MAF from a 96 ford 7.5 liter V8 and everything has been tuned using a SAFC2. So theoretically my MAF should detect the increased airflow and add fuel accordingly as I will be using it as a pull through system. Using a blow off valve won't be an issue because the SAFC2 has a dec-air function to compensate for blow off valves. I also have a 1:1 fuel pressure regulator so fuel psi should increase by 1 psi for every 1 psi of boost. I am only planning on running 5 psi for now. Any advice/experiences people could give would be appreciated, such as tuning tricks/best spot to hook up the oil feed line. I am also using a bigger throttle body then the focus comes with ans a ported intake similar to the 2000 focus intake.
