Hey all, I just wanted to let you know. Wayne was kind enough to contribute to my SVT Project and I just wanted to thank him. I talk to wayne almost nightly, give him feedback etc. Anyways I received my SCT from him today. It obviously had GREAT instructions, but it only took about 15 minutes. THIS IS THE GREATEST INVENTION EVER. I have HIS tune that he has on HIS car so its a lil more aggresive and DAMN is it sweet. I flashed it and i thought my car died cuz the revs dropped STRAIGHT to 900. Then when i got to drive it I really felt a difference. I took it out a few hours after that on some backroads. I rolled into first and DAMN this mother pulls. 1st and 2nd are SWEET. I took it to about 7400 and slammed 2nd and it was just purr sweetness. Driveability is great, no surging and anything. I have HIS street tune and HIS strip tune. I have yet to try his strip tune but I will in a few weeks. I am going on a 3 hour drive tomorrow for a sound competition through some mountains and such so ill let u know how it does on the highway. Just wanted to do a writeup of it. I will post in the sticky in a few, but to give you all the heads up I know wayne will bend over backwards for his customers and he is by far the nicest guy i have ever worked with regarding car parts. Anyways Special thanks to wayne. And if anyone lives out here in the west that wants to ride in my car just lemme know. Also if anyone is having second thoughts about buying a flasher from wayne or someone else, let me just say this. It puts the SVT into the focus!!!

[driving] I have his sct tune also. had it for a week. very impressed ! still a couple of quirks like rpm roll over, and tachometer lights still flickering a little. but overall the car is much more drive- able. mid and low end power feels much better than stock. and I agree couldn't be easier to do, the instructions are simple clear and FAST!!!! just like the car.[:D]

Yea, I think cuz im in closer contact with him for the sponsorship stuff, he was comfortable sending me his tunes. They pretty much have everything worked out. For My Ecu that is. If he had an 03 im sure he would have EVERYTHING worked out, I think its just a lil different program to deal with and hasnt spent as much time as he has on his own tune. Thats why he wants feedback, if there is a quirk let him know about it. Thats how everything gets worked out. Glad you like ur tune though.

Ok, I just got back from a 6 hour roadtrip. For those of you just now tuning in I installed waynes tune yesterday. I climbed some pretty insane hills today and it performed SWEET. I was finding myself not needing to downshift near as much, and I also noticed a noticeable MPG gain. Not to mention with me being able to hang on to a SVO stang on the highway!!! All I can say is that you can FEEL the power difference in EVERY gear. Totally recommend this to anyone. Now we have some races tonite so we will see how it performs on the ole' 1/4 mile track we laid out at the dump!! Anyways hope to see some dyno graphs and a 1/4 time in a few weeks.

prior to you installing the reflash did you have any of the typical svt problems that you read about (i.e. surgeing, flickering lights, bogging, high idle), and did the did the tune get rid of them?

Yup, I had the yrf0 flash from ford, and I had all the flickering surging and the bogging was the worst along with the high idle which made me look like a jackass when i started my car. Yes, the tune has taken care of ALL of the problems. The bogging is non existent. It takes off from a stoplight SO much easier, dont even have to feather the clutch. Surging has been taken care of to an extent. I got HIS tune from his own personal car, so its a lil more aggressive but im ok with it surging a little for the added oomph, but it is not as near as bad as it was before. The high idle it starts and immediatley goes to 900. Its sweet.

do your rpms hang or rollover to your next gear? mine do sometimes. Im starting to think that this is a fly wheel or even a tb problem, cause now with the tune the rpms shoot up quickly but they hang around 3500 rpms even if I change gears or completely take my foot off the gas. this is not always when im driving but it is enough to concern me.

No my RPMs will drop, but if cold they will hang a little. It IS in part due to the FW, but i am getting a Fidanza in a few weeks so we will see how that works.

hey i was wondering wher i could get that hynotic tune and is there a difference when u installed the FC ORP

dudley123

Either PM him or email him through Hypillauto@aol.com. The FC orp i noticed a difference on in the upper range of the rpm band and it also makes it REALLY loud, but with the tune, the exhaust note changed TREMENDOUSLY. If you cannot get in touch with him that way, go to his website. www.hypillauto.com and call him. He usually will answer as it forwards to his mobile phone. The tune is 345 and it will be the best money you will ever spend on your Svt.

Yup, so far its great. I am repping for him out here in the west to try and get his name farther out. I am thinking of trying a nitrous tune for like a 50 shot but I haven't decided yet.

thanks dudley for that tip. i couldnt help it notice that ur svt has a lower stance, i was wondering if u have anything in ur suspension. im kinda new at my car, ive had it a little over a year and want make some mods to it, any advice will be of great help. i am considering getting the tune, i need to talk to wayne, right?

dudley123

Yes, Talk to wayne. I would look into one of his Short Ram intakes. He is currently sold out of them, but he is having a new batch of them made. He will give you a package deal with his tune and intake. He is also done developing the Random Tech Exhaust, he just needs to put them into production. There are quite a few things coming out in the next few weeks, but for you I would start out with a Tune and Intake. Another thing you can look into is the Random Tech ORP. or High Flow cat. The ORP is illegal but you will get pretty decent gains. But As I said you will see the biggest gain out of any of the bolt ons you can do, through a Tune.

Also yes, My car has Eibach Sportline Springs on it. Lowers about 1.5 in the front and almost 2 in the rear for the SVT. Here is a new shot with the springs settled and washed.

DId the springs u have mess up the way the ride feels, would it be recommended to have a lower stance on the svt? by the way i like ur ride, its clean!

No the springs are just a little stiffer. Lowering your car will give you a lower center of gravity, so in theory your car will handle better, I love the way my car rides. Its all in opinion but lower is ALWAYS better.
