All it showed him actually doing was changing the oil.. what a douche, the fact that he degrades the qualityof living for his family so he can drive a nice car is just rediculous.

The second video I've seen before and never found particularly funny, but the first one was interesting and I haven't seen it before. I guess I'm out of the loop and totally uncool because I've never heard of Chris Johnson or his bragging... but that's just sad that he denies his family the things he could be providing them so he can have a car to "brag" about. And he says he'll race anyone, even if his family is in the car. Idiot.

I can see spending lots of money on your car when you're single and the only person you have to look after is yourself, but when you've got a family they should come first.

And yeah his price estimates are either pulling numbers out of his ass or he has seriously overpaid on parts because that does not look like a car that's had near $100,000 invested in it.

Wow... just did a little internet searching about this first video. Apparently the guy who claims to own the Cobra featured in the video is quite the ass and comes down HARD on anyone who points out inconsistencies in his story and asks him to prove the car belongs to him, or asks why he's such an a**hole to someone who never started anything with him (Chris Johnson). For example here's a quote from him responding to someone who dared question him:

You can attack and attack all you want, but the truth is you envy the money, power, and ability of me and my car.

Now if that's not conceit I don't know what is. The whole scene these guys are into sounds like a bunch of "macho" fools who are one step away from whipping out a tape measurer and measuring each other's dicks. It's the kind of thing that makes me glad I'm NOT a Mustang or Camaro owner, there's always some asshat out there who loves feeling superior and wants to race you and "put you in your place."


There's also a video of someone purported to be this guy (John Jett) who chickens out when asked to race because it would have been on tape... it's all in this thread:

Sad but true, you know? [hihi] To some of us a car is a fun thing to mod and enjoy because we enjoy cars and the experience, and maybe even getting to know other people who share our interest.

To this guy (and I've seen his type before) it's less about the car and the enjoyment, it's about him and how great he is, the car is just a "weapon" to wield. I read several posts on different forums where people pointed out the guy loves to pick battles he knows he will win. There's a video of him "racing" a Camaro where the results aren't even close, the Camaro was WAY behind, "bus lengths" as they say - and you can hear him screaming like he just had an orgasm.

He's the kind of guy who gets off on being superior, but he's only superior because he's careful to make sure he always has the upper hand! It's like if I challenged you to a fight and you agreed, and then I pulled a Glock out and blew your head off and said "hey I never said it was a fist fight." I won but it wasn't a very fair fight was it?
