Anyone out there happen to hear anything about he Cryo 2 kits sold at jcw.com? I'm thinking about grabbing one for my SE, and I'm just sending a shout out to see what everyone has to think about them...

For those not in the know, these act like a regular nos kit, except it uses CO2. You can set it up to either ride in your intake or hook up to your fuel rail. It's significantly cheaper than a nos kit (the kit and the intake system only goes for about $400), and since it gives you less boost than a nos kit, I'm wondering if I can use it on my Zetec (which has about 100,000 miles on it).

Any advice would rock tacos.

Don't know too much about that kit....CO2 is not combustible and seems like it uses CO2 to cool the air going into the engine to create more power.... same thing a CAI tries to do. I don't think it is worth the money IMO, but should be safe for your car since it really isn't offering that much of a power increase.

Its actually CryO2.
And as stated;
You can either get a fuel chiller bar and cool your fuel before it gets injected. (Big waste of money.)
Or you get get the Air Intake Charge Cooler, which puts a little cold bulb in your intake that cool the air as it flows by. (Yet another waste.)
How much HP comes from cooling the fuel? Very little.
How much cooler is the air going to get flying past a little flashlight bulb sized thing? Not much.
I've seen the company claims, but have yet to see anybody (independently) get the same results.

Not worth the cash.
Remember, you have to refill the co2 just like nitrous.

Moved to Forced Induction (best suited there)......

a better idea would be to go FI and then use an intercooler sprayer with your CO2
