Hey guys I also have a Diablosport racing computer chip for a ford focus. The chip can be tuned to different modes. It was on my car for less than 2 weeks. Comes in box with instructions, the sticker was never even removed from the chip so it still has it on it. If you get the chip I would take it to Dallas Mustang, or USA motorsports and have them tune it for your setup. I paid over $300 for the chip, ill sell it for $100.00

Also I have an Oil Return Catch can for a ford focus, it was on my car for like 3 weeks if that.....

thanks for the hookup on the header, i may be interested in the diablo but not until after i get my exhaust. im gonna get a 2.5" resonated borla setup from trubendz. i also gonna get a 2.5" flex but im not sure what my options are, other than trubendz.

Whats going on fellas! I just bought my Focus, have pics uploaded in the showroom section. Anyway, I plan on lowering, after searching I found out I can lower up to 1.4 inches and not replace dampers. So I might try that for a lil while...whats your thoughts on that?

And I would like to meet up with you one day and look at the cars and get some ideas. As long as you all are cool and all, just looking for a car club, not a gang or buncha posers.

I'm waiting to hear back from a guy on a Bosal exhaust, going to be getting my UDP soon and SVT front brakes, I want to get a set of coil-overs and be done with suspension for awhile. I have my factory sub now, but it's turning out to be more of a pain than I wanted to deal with..I need some inserts that the mounting bolts go into, make a carpet piece, and the biggest pain is wiring it...I might just re-sell it.

I missed the meet, I was installing my rear springs. They fit perfectly! I got about 1.2" drop out of them so far.

handling is great, boby roll almost gone, and looks 300% better. I can make the next meet though.

hey no problem man,

well there is a lip on the inside of the wheel well, for me when i lowered my car my tires rub the fender wall, so by rolling the fenders using a tool like this

You would heat up the paint with a heat gun and then gently "roll" the lip tight against the body to eliminate the rubbing. granted we do not have a HUGE lip in our wheel well but enough to make a differance when rolled

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, thats what that it. On our mini trucks, we just used wood blocks, and a linear jack, and we just the blocks on the paint covered in a towel, then jack until it bowed the rear tubs out a bit........but it wasn't a perfect method.

Thats why most mini trucks are s-10's because they come with flare like wheel wells stock. But also why most minitrucks go thru beds like water, that and they screw up shaving crap.

From your side of Mesquite Tim you can either come north past 30 on Beltline which turns into Broadway, it's on the right just past Oates, or go over to 30 east, exit beltline, go left for Broadway. It is right where Broadway takes a dogleg to the left.

Man, I have been doing some reading up on the intakes, I hear that is the best engine mod for the Duratec......but I am scared to death of voiding my warranty. Input?!

ford can not void your warranty unless they can prove that the aftermarket part is what caused the part failure, besides now you know a couple of ford techs all I can say is
"what aftermarket parts I dont see any after market parts"

Get the intake, and if you have to take it in for service, just swap out the new intake with the old one.

^^^that seems like something I might end up doing, but that might be a pain in the ass, seriously.

^^ Well not necessarily. Once you've fiddled with it and installed it a few times, you'll eventually be able to breeze through it. Soon you'll be able to take it on and off in a matter of minutes. Thats how it was on my intake. The first two times it took me a little time to get everything together, but now I can dissasemble and assemble the intake in about 45 seconds.

most ford dealers are only going to look at aftermarket parts for a catastrophic failure, engine knock, hole in the side of a block or worse, if you have a cold air intake and then have a engine light on with mas air flow codes they will probable tell you its your fault. the gauze filters that you put oil in can cause maf damage if you over oil it, the oil gets on the "hot" wire and can short it out or give the pcm a bad signal. so just be careful and don't over oil the filter

oh ok, after doing a lot of reading, I hear the CAI on a Duratech is good for at least 8-10whp.......thats not bad for 100 bucks.

i dont know if they still do, but tirerack used to rent out fender rollers for $30 plus round trip shipping. i dont know if they still do this but if you give them a call im sure theyd let you know, from what ive heard thier customer service it top-notch.

The meet was actually really cool, I stayed longer than I had planned. After me chasing a ghost towards downtown, we met up and did a couple freestyle runs.

Lets just say, I have a lot of practing on my launches to do. Got owned, twice....but the second time I tried doing the brake, then rev to 2000, then took off....I think I need to rev higher to launch.....but it got better than that first run.

Good job Jason. I couldn't go to sleep after that. :(

And Josh and Aaron had a run also before a car came along.....anywho...it was pretty cool!

My friend and I both have silver ZX3's, but we're usually around the Flower Mound/Grapevine area....we dont usuaully venture off into the Mesquite area. Which BB did you see them at?

its the best buy in mesquite, ive seen it too. i usually park backwards and sideways next to it if its in the lot.

next friday will likely be my last in the east dallas area as i will be moving into my dorm next sunday. after then the only time that ill be there will be open weekends when i get kicked off campus, and i dont know when those are.

Are yall still gettin together? theres way to many threads to read lol. Well anyway I wanted to inform everyone in the dfw area about a meet behind hooters in Fort worth off I-20 and southwest blvd, I go there every week and theres a couple of foci that show up, in fact the focus was the most prevelant car there last week. It's pretty safe, if you're interested the site is www.eightoneseven.org . I hope to see anyone there, it's at 9:30 PM every saturday behind hooters.
