Ihave seen a boost upgrage kit, from Focus Cenrtral i belive, thats suppose to give a JR 2psi more boost with a overdrive crank pully. They say that the ODCP souldnt be mixed with a smaller charger pully. My question is has anyone done this and with what result? Also how would this compair (charger rpm wise) to just haveing, say, the 2.6 or 2.3inch?

ok if you dont know an anwser then meyb u all know what engine rpm to charger rpm ratio the stock JR pully has---i can do the math later thx.

the stock JRSC comes with a 3" pulley I believe and it gives around 4-5psi, the big boost kit which they sell at Mcnewsautomotive.com for $450 or the JRSC and BBK is $2800. It comes with a 2.5" pulley and it gives you 6-7psi, you can order a 2.3" pulley from ASP Racing for $95 and it will get you up to 9-11psi. I don't know if anyone has done it but I have heard it isn't too smart to do. It speeds up everything else and wears it all out quicker. Hopefully someone else will get on here with more knowledge to explain it better.

thanks for the info jerry...i belive its the 2.5" (i get 6.9psi max)i have and if i was to install an odp,i would also install the other pullys so as to maintain thier current speeds.but i would like some more boost and i thought that i would get too much pully slippage with the 2.3" one, so if i can get the same blower rpm with a 2.5" and odp as i could with just the 2.3" it would save me lots of money in the end and slower my chance of slippage.
if anyone else can help i would be greatful...Thanks alot guys..u all kik ass!

Thats for the crank pulley, the the 2.3 and the 2.5 are the pulleys for the SC itself

the 2.5 has been used with only the JR "black box" with no issues
the 2.3 requires new injectors and a MAF with a tune
i wouldn't suggest the OD crank pulley for the wear and tear on the other components ( Alt, A/C , water pump )
