u know i had a serious reality check today my first time ever runing on a 1/4 mile track its was a lot harder then i thought though it didnt take long for me to get my lauches some what down stopin will spin is another question all together. i'm still gonna keep practiceing my launch cause i think i should be able to hit mid 14 with what i have
which is a improperly tune procharger kit which i hope to resolve soon i have to get a custom made chip 4-2-1 header, magnaflow cat-back exhaust 65 mm throttle body ford racing 9mm wires ngk iridum plugs soom to have a pro m 70 mm maf right now i makin 208 hp and 207 tq but there is a drop in hp bewteen 4 1/2 to 6000 rpm it goes extremely rich for some reason then tries to climb back but hopefuly once i get it tuned propperly which will be in a few days i should have around 230 hp and 220 tq but we will see [?|] [?|][?|]

Until it's properly tuned I would have it sitting in my garage.

Dude. You need some drag radials really bad. You nuts going to a track with a s/c focus expecting 14's. 170whp focus with drags and good driver will get you in the 14's.
What were you 60ft and reaction times. Those say evereything.
My buddy hit 15.9 all he has done is race header, intake, TB, and full exahust.
Something is wrong. The pro charger claims to give you an 90% power increase and even if there wrong and only gives you a 70% increase you should be getting better times.
Unless your a bad driver. Im not saying you are or anything but it happens. Im still curious as to why the SVT at the drag track was only hitting high 17's. He was kinda mad to he wasnt beating my stock zetec time of 16.2

SVT's can be tricky to launch but even an average driver should be able to hit 16 flat in a stock SVT ... stock, they are rated at around 15.7/15.9 ...

Reaction times have nothing to do with quarter mile times. 60ft is everything and with it not tuned, plus that tall first gear it can be tricky. I ran 15.1 with orp and a steeda short ram, then the first time at the track with my JRSC I only ran 15.0. I need a tune which should be here this week.

Tune is everything, but so is traction, you have two hurdles to jump before you try that again. Try the 4.06 gear out as well, thats my next move. With those HP numbers you should be smoking my times.
What were your traps?

my reaction time averge is only .313 but i have bout 2.4 60 ft times like i said this was my very first time at a drag couse i rather go auto x but this is cool for now i will refine my drag racing skills i also was runing stock 15" wheels with kumo tires aa traction and 320 trede life i know that i do spin tires alot especially in 1 and 2 gear

yea i agree with the 4.06 gears..it helps you spool up faster, if you will, to get to where the sc makes the most power...dont die over 1/4 times so much, some of those tracks have awefull traction- made for slicks..my track sucks real bad thats why i was only hittin a 16.2 with tb, udp, intake, and sts-and yet on the street i was easily beating my friend with an integra who was pullin a 15.9-he had radials

Post your timeslip, if you can. I'd like to see what your trap speeds at the end of the quarter are.
