I had a bottom end assembled with JE 9:1 pistons and eagle rods. Dropped the whole thing in last week and both main seals are leaking. As I'm trying to figure out the problem, I think I have total seal piston rings installed that are causing excessive pressure and are blowing oil along the seals. Has anyone else here had total seal piston rings installed? If so, did you just remove the PCV system altogether?
Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Did you use the Ford front and rear seal
I dont like the total seal and wont use them but they wont cause the seals to leak, make sure the engine can breath (valvecover and side crank case vent ) is these are open you will need to change seals
We use the new felpro seals , much better quality

hmm, yea, i used the Ford main seals and as it is right now, i have the PCV hose just hanging down from the valvecover and the PCV box on the exhaust side under the header (i'm guessing this is the crankcase vent) is connected as is on stock. all seals are brand new, that's what's bugging the crap out of me, they shouldn't need replacing again.
