FocusMang 03-23-2005, 08:06 PM Hey turbo guys. What is everybody using as far as compression ratios? Looks like I have my choice of 9-1 or 10.5-1. Im planning on getting up to the 350+ hp range. The lower the compression the more boost can be run safely. 1turbofocus 03-23-2005, 09:25 PM The rings didnt blow because of the 220 the rings blew because of lack of tuning or poor tuning The SVT will take 320+HP in its stock form no problem but tuning is the key You need crower rods , billet mains ETC Tom FocusMang 03-23-2005, 11:54 PM With 8-1 I think the car would be very sluggish off the line, I dont get full boost till about 3800. Tom, LOL I think im just going to have to go with your shortblock and pro tuner. Yeah I told the dyno guys to just get it tunned fast. Well now i have 4 pistons that are very mad at me. Looks like I get to save up for about 2 months.
