: baer rotors for an SVT

ive been lookin for new brakes for my svt, the rears im keeping OEM but the fronts i would like to upgrade. I dont really trust the rotors off ebay, not knowing the quality of them and such, and not wanting to cheap out on my brakes. i would really like to get some drilled ones, not only for the performance aspect, but to be honest, they just look bada$$. I found some Baer front rotors at autozone, yea i was surprised to see them there. they are 180 for the fronts w/ a 2 yr warranty, anyone heard anything or run these?? and im still debating and what pads to get, any suggestions would be great.

I'm thinking of KVR as another possibility. Here's the link:
There's also the Brembo brake upgrade which is only for the front. Obviously, it is extremely pricy!

My only advice is get slotted instead of drilled. Unless the holes have been cast in place then machined (like oem drilled rotors) they have a high failure rate on the track. Drilled rotors look sweet but for a true performance improvement get the slotted rotors.

well i dont take my car to the track, its my everyday driver which i do some spirited driving in here and there, and honestly, i know it sounds kinda lame, but i just love the looks of them. I had some on my old car and it looked awesome, they also did stop better to. The baer ones im lookin at are drilled and also slotted, i forgot to mention that.

Yeah i posted something like bout 15 mins ago, i just downgraded from drilled and i can tell a difference and very much so, they were good for stopping but not tolerable on the street, they made way to much brake noise, but they did look great. I am looking at ebc's dimpled and slotted but dunno if they are good or not. I also saw that autozone carried baer and i may just go get them.

Hey BMX, found these as well. Haven't heard much about them but they are for both the front and rear. I'm talking about the Disc Italia.

yikes them drilled ones are expensive as hell for just the front 2, $250! nice find tho, id hope w/ that kind of price tag, they would be pretty high quality rotors.. Im thinkin i'll go with the Baer drilled/slotted rotors, cause they are a well known company, and good quality, and for $180 for the fronts w/ a 2yr warranty is a pretty good deal, now i just need to get $180... and what kind of pads would you guys recommend, ive heard good things about hawk pads.

I've heard EBC green or red stuff pads are very good.

heard that to, but are they alittle much for everyday driving w/ some spirited sessions here and there?

Go with hawk i know a couple of guys that have them and they say they are pretty good pads.
