Most springs are made for zx3's and work on svt's, but about how much would they drop an svt focus?
eibach 1.4 front 1.5 rear
tien 2.0 front/rear
intrax 1.5 front/rear
Anyone having problems running stock dampners and lowering springs?
How much could you drop a 42+ offset 18inch wheel and 215/35/18 tires without alot of rubbing?
I wana drop my car real soon, so I thought Id post and get some feedback before I purchase springs...[thumb]

All I know is I have an 18" wheel right now with a 38+ offset and I rub on hard compressions with 215/40/18 tires and stock svt suspension. I figure tucking my offset in more would help when I do drop....I don't plan to go much lower then 1" of the stock svt suspension, I just dislike the "grasshoppper" look of the rear being higher then the front. It may be slight, but I notice it. Maybe because its the only car I drive =P

A few SVT owners installed some Eibach Sportlines on their rides and it looks great! Try searching in the Suspension forum for them.

On my svt I just put bfg g-force kdw on. I love those tires, I used 225-45-17. I rub on my fender a little bit when corner hard. I do not know how you can still drive an svt with lowering spring and not rub all the time. With the bigger tire size, it handle a lot better and makes our cars stick to the road. I just recomend putting the bfg on, it just handle sick now.

i have the pro-kit on mine, like the frush said, the svt's are already lower than a zx3, so you will not get as much of a drop, after my springs, it sat about 1 in lower front and rear, but i didnt want it slammed so im happy with them......................btw 500th post!!!![headbang]

I have the intrax on mine, sits pretty well. I am running the stock 215/45/17 on 45mm offset wheels with no rubbing at all, including during spirited street driving and at the track. I would replace the stock dampers at the same time...installing just the springs will give you a very bouncy (less rebound control against the stiffer spring) and creates a very unpredictable car.
Moving to "Wheels, Tires, Brakes & Suspension"...
If you can find 18s with a 45mm offset, you'd be in a lot better position to drop it.
The stock 17s are 49mm.
