: Let the JRSC Power Quest Begin!!
Darth Focus 03-02-2005, 09:13 PM As of right now, I am gathering parts, the last thing to come will be the JRSC (should arrive around 3/15/05). In order to help you see where I'm going, let me list the parts that whill round out the equation; now, some are extra parts not needed, but I am adding for my own prefference:
1) JRSC (Duh!)
2) FJO Water Injection System (may go with the snow boost sensitive set up activating at 5 or 6psi and adding more liquid as boost increases)
3) 2.80" Pulley (~10-11psi)
4) 5.7" Crank Pulley (addt'l 2psi)
5) OEM Cobra Injectors and MAF
6) Clutch Masters Stage 3 clutch (Kevlar)
7) Clutch Masters Flywheel
8) Prothane Motion Control 'Total Kit'
9) AME Race Rollbar (6pt.)
10) AEM UEGO Controller to montior A/F in R E A L time!!
11) New AmazonRacing tune
12) Blower/ Manifold porting (right out of the box!!)
We are going to also fab a new manifold to house an air/water intercooler using many Cobra parts.
Stay tuned...I'm going to roll through as fast as possible...Im already loosing sleep!!!!!!
Pics will start tommorow when disassembly begins! (or the next day...)
Darth Focus 03-02-2005, 09:20 PM ...oh, and more stripping of dead weight...breakin out the carbon fiber!! ;-) Hopefully I can do a nice job with some door panels!!
Oh my god I'm so excited! I've felt so immune with out my trusty roll bar (I put a bar in all my cars now).
crazymechanic 03-02-2005, 10:31 PM sounds like fun man, once you get it all done drop by sheehy performance or racers den so I can check it out
Darth Focus 03-03-2005, 12:12 AM Where are they at? I've heard of Racers Den - I think we (AmazonRacing) are sponsors....right?
crazymechanic 03-03-2005, 08:29 AM not sure, I actually stopped hanging out on the webboard with them because certain people were getting rather stupid, but I still go up to the hangout in germantown every once in a while. it's the mcdonalds on great seneca hiway at mateny. there's a shopping center there with a shoppers food warehouse, and glory days bar
PapoSwing 03-03-2005, 02:22 PM How much HP and TQ will you be pulling?

viney266 03-03-2005, 08:51 PM Kepp us up to date.. Glad to see you are excited..have fun!
Darth Focus 03-03-2005, 10:04 PM You know I will!! I cant wait...its going to be an eternity til everything shows up (or so it'll seem). The porting is a snap, 1 day turn around, the pulley is a breeze, installation will be easy, etc. Its just going to be time consuming working on all the other PAYING customers cars first...then mine! Could be a few late nights!!
PapoSwing 03-04-2005, 11:16 AM Will you have an aftermarket exhaust as well? I didn't see it in the list of mods.
Darth Focus 03-04-2005, 02:59 PM Thats in the plans...a custom 'one-off' exhaust; ala Cobra R....if we like it and like the gains and can keep the noise on par, who knows...
jezwald1016 03-06-2005, 09:30 AM hello
jezwald1016 03-06-2005, 09:42 AM ford racing is working on a big boost kit(installed on my car) for the zetec 2.0L jrsc kit which includes high flow fuel injectors, svt airbox and mass air sensor,2.5" pulley, new belt and you send them your stock ecu to ford racing and they reflash it to reap the benefits of the bigger injectors bigger mass air meter and smaller pulley without a disaster!!!!coming soon part# m-9000-zx3 or contact ford racing tech line at (586)468-1356. ......this kit is sweet for the price (estimated at $500.00) the stock kit should get you to 150hp at wheels and this kit should get you at 170-180hp at wheels....maybe look into this kit.....jesse
jezwald1016 03-06-2005, 09:51 AM they are also working on a kit for svt focuses, one vehicle they are working on is getting 270hp to the wheels but running out of fuel with 42lb injectors,so well see how it goes in the near future....jesse
Putter-GLHT 03-06-2005, 09:15 PM Are you doing water inj and alchy inj? You have them both listed above...or did i miss something....?
EDIT: Durrrrr...... I need to get my eyes checked I guess, Prothene != methonal....man I'm loosin it....
PapoSwing 03-06-2005, 09:39 PM they are also working on a kit for svt focuses, one vehicle they are working on is getting 270hp to the wheels but running out of fuel with 42lb injectors,so well see how it goes in the near future....jesse
WOW! Any idea of when we should expect some official news to be coming out of Ford on this? This is still using the JRSC?
jezwald1016 03-07-2005, 05:56 PM they are dyno testing tomorrow so ill get you some actual #,,,but its supposed to be a kit similar to the zetec 2.0l kit with the smaller pulley, shorter belt, bigger injectors, and ecu flashed....get back to you tomorrow when i hear more..and actual dyno #not engine dyno #..jesse
PapoSwing 03-09-2005, 03:12 PM Any News?
jezwald1016 03-09-2005, 06:03 PM well a little off but it got 226hp on chassis dyno.....the stock power to the ground is probably about 130-140hp..so with the jrsc kit and the big boost kit it goes to 226hp....sorry about miscalculation.....jesse
this kit is coming soon...
Darth Focus 03-09-2005, 07:57 PM IIRC, JR themselves managed 240ish...
svtweston 03-19-2005, 02:49 AM so are you talking a factory backed supercharger kit for the svtf? please say yes. keep us posted cause that could be money very well spent.
hogy72 03-19-2005, 10:22 AM ^^^i believe he dropped the idea of the JRSC project......
Darth Focus 03-23-2005, 09:37 PM Nah, not completely...I'm sorta weighing options right now. I am helping to fab a turbo kit, as you know, but I still like the JRSC. Its such a good system and its so reliable, its hard to look past that. Regardless, the supporting mods will go towards any FI route I choose.
I have the clutch done, and MOST of what I want to do suspension wise, soon, I'll start mounting the gauges...Boost, Fuel Pressure and the UEGO/ Wideband monitor from AEM (www.aempower.com). For people that do their own tuning, a wideband is a must, and due to many prior dealings with AEM and their quality, it was a no brainer to use their new system.
Once thats all done, I guess I'll pick up the JRSC, get that ported and worked the way I want, and just go from there...
So no...JRSC idea isnt ditched... ;-)
