Tom, would you please help me clarify few things regarding the full turbo kit for SVT model.

My goal is to make around 250hp to the wheel on 91 octane gas. I live in California, the highest octane is 91. How much modifications would i need to perform on the follow components?

Engine internal

Transmission

--

Exhaust

--

clutch

suspension

I understand the full turbo kit comes with a tuned chip. Is the chip as simple of just plug
and play? or would I need to ship the car to your shop for tuning?

[:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)]*The problem isnt can the kit do 250HP at the wheels all stock the problem is i dont feel it is safe doing it on 91 , The most i have pushed on 91 is 200/200 and that is as far as im willing to go

[:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)]*If you were to lower the compression of the SVT engine this would help with being able to run more boost with lower octane but when you lower the compression you lower the engines ability to make good power at low boost its kind of a trade off

Tom, is bottle neck on HP just the 91octane gas? other than the gas octane, the SVT engine should have lot more potential, right?

On your web site for the SVT kit, its making 239whp on pump gas, is that on 93 or 100 octane gas?


would it be a better investment to turbo a regular zx3 than a SVT?

Yes Octane is the limiting factor with the 10.2 compression of the SVT

The 239 was on 94

I would say stay with the SVT

Tom, how did you get the car to run 239whp? is the only difference is the gas octane (91 vs 94)? What other mods did you have to do get to the car to run those numbers?

239 was done on a 94/95 Octane , Octane is the ONLY limiting factor , If we had 110 octane STD that we could run 20PSI on the SVT all the time and make 320 at the wheels

Tom, you mean the predator flasher comes with the full turbo kit?

^tom with 93 octane "ballpark" what would I be runnning?

yes a FI tuned Predator comes in with the full turbo kit

On 93 a safe tune will make an easy 190/190

The SVT STG1 kit is 2995.00 and the full kit is 5800.00

The STG1 kit will do 210 but that is pushing it , if you were to add waterinjection to it you could do 220 safely

The full kit will do it easy

It is real easy to install because it comes part Assy , Ask TURBO-XZ3 he just installed one on his and see what he sais about the install
