Getting a chip now, you'll have to get it reprogrammed when you add SERIOUS mods like that. ZX3TUNR 02-12-2005, 11:26 PM dont get the chip yet on a stock engine. Its a waste of time unless you have heavly modded NA car. You will need a chip for when you do f/i and most places will supply you with an upgraded ECU. If your doing DIY you will need to get that on your own and SCT or Diablo are the most common. Even if the kit includes a chip its still best to get a nicer tune with a custom chip. There are alot of ppl out there who are very good but the cost for tuning is expensive so leave in your purchase be sure to leave room for tuning as it is one of the most important steps in F/I. Did you have an idea as to what setup you are doing. Setups like Vortech, Precision, Toms Turbo, Power Works and Pro Charger all include upgraded ecu's. | |
