it's a road called old calaveras. it's a pretty sweet road that I've cruised numerous times just for fun. this time there just happened to be a mustang for me to drive behind.

Ah..I know that road, never been on it but I've heard lots of people cruise on that road.

I don't think he was actually racing. I think i've done turns like that faster on my stock suspension in my sedan.

and i think my 5 year old nephew can make a better picture than your avatar...that's a sweet vid!

I don't drive like that on public roads. There were some blind corners and another car could have been comming the other way.

As for my avatar, i drew that using the pencil tool in ms paint. [:)]

u using firefox? I had the same problem till i saved as with IE(I know, i know). Fixed it right up. hope this helps

you guys are really milkin this thread for all it's worth eh? anyways, zetec races all the time, he's just faking it on this forum cause he can't handle people flaming him.

i'm sure everyones raced once or twice. i don't race a lot and usually from stoplights to about 60 or so. it's fun and definitely gets the adreneline pumping. as long as you do it somewhere deserted the only people at risk are the racers.

exactly, street racing can be dangerous, but only if the people involved are dumb enough to do it around others, which is why I didn't take the lead through the mountains...

Awesome video! But to be truthful I think the only reason you kept up with him was because of all the turns and the wet conditions. Mustangs, or rwd vehicles in general, need to take corners a lot slower than fwd (foci) vehicles do. On a straight away, he'd kick your a$$, on a track based on cornering and handling, you'd spank his. I LOVE YOUR EXHAUST! What mods do you have?

I have no idea where you came up with this but it's way off. There's a reason sports cars and most race cars are RWD.

Mustangs are muscle cars, making them fast as hell on straightaways. they were built for pure speed from point a to point b, not cornering. True a lot of sports cars are rwd, but this is a perfect example of how handling can be better than pure speed.

Not sure how this adds to your argument here. Not trying to bust your balls or anything just saying that FWD is the worst performance configuration for everything such as handling, and speed.
