I recently purchased a sun pro tach for my 2000 lx sedan. I'm having problems getting it to work properly. Whenever I start the car, the needle on the tach goes all the way to the bottom. Any pointers would be very appreciated.

I'm not sure if the tach came with the driver. Any links on where I might be able to find one?

Tony D. at New Edge keeps these in stock ( he is one of our sponsors ). Steeda and several others keep them in as well. Most folks sell them for about $55.

I'll try getting one. Hopefully this solves my problem. I'm getting tired of driving around with a tach that doesn't work. [:)]

i helped a buddy of mine install a tach on his z34 lumina. did you get it on ebay? ebay sellers definatly "forget" to tell you that you need a tach adapter to hook them up. so my friend who is still in high school (has limited funds) now has to wait until he cam scrap together enough to get the adapter.

Nah, I got it from advanced auto parts. I guess they too share that common mistake in not letting you know that you'll need a driver. All part of the learning process I guess. The cheapest driver I found so far is at New Edge for $69.95. If anyone knows of a cheaper price, I'm all ears.

It will def. solve the problem . I had to use one as well. The focus doesn't generate a tack signal like a " normal" car and this little majic box creates one, real easy install too, with good instructions..

The driver worked like a charm. At what rpm does the spi red line? Right now, I have it set at 6500.
