UtahSVT 01-30-2005, 07:05 PM ^^^^ LOL ! Go for it -- lots cheaper.
svtsonic 01-30-2005, 07:36 PM that is the lowest i've ever seen the vortech priced. I wonder how much it would cost to get that system installed?
You can find VORTECH SC's alot cheaper then that.
svtsonic 01-30-2005, 08:38 PM really?? where?, if i can find one for around the price of jrsc...i just might make a early purchase! damn...im getting exited. That video of that vorteched svtf chasing evo made my mind that s/c is what i need. Hopefully, i'll be able to blow away my friend's srt4.
so, if anyone knows where to get a vortech for less , than 3400, please let me know...thanks.
rayrevolver 01-30-2005, 10:26 PM Usually the cheaper vortec kits don't come with an aftercooler/intercooler etc.
Seems like a good price. I wish.
SLIP STREAM SVT 01-30-2005, 10:43 PM hmmm.... if i could just get approx. 3500 people to donate $1 to my paypal account then i think i could get myself the Vortech SC. [:)~]
fat pat 01-31-2005, 12:33 AM that electric runs 1200 cfm?? thats silly...caus turbos on 1g eclipses push 405 cfm...t88s on supras push like 900...thats quite a powerful electric supercharger
The electric supercharger is again one of the BS scam products on ebay along with the TB spacer, resistor among the others, etc.

I got curious and decided to ask how much PSI the thing puts out since I did not see it stated ...
--------------------
ELEfastCHARGER@aol.com to me
The charger will product about 6 psi.
Thank you
amy

Not sure how true that is, but is that decent for an electric hair dryer...?
Hypnotic 02-01-2005, 01:27 AM 8 psi average max, I can get pretty good deals on the tuner packages as well :)

6 psi measured where? Did you call BS on her?
cpyder 02-01-2005, 08:37 AM ^^^^ nice Sig, .. HAHA..
But seiously, I do not cal BS cause I do not know. I do not know what else to ask. But I am sure if I get too technical she will crap her pants and not know how to answer. From what I understand (and that aint much when it comes to serious engine modding, still learning) is that if your FI boost is not more than 5 psi, you might as well be blowing into the intake yourself.
What do you mean by "6 psi measured where?" Like where in the rpm band... ?
jaykirs 02-01-2005, 08:43 AM My take on that electric POS was actually posted elsewhere, what do you think is going to happen when that plastic impeller decides to go south and comes apart while at WOT? The mere thought makes me physically ill LOL

LOL, just a question, but why would you wanna put a modified leaf blower motor on your car?

REALLY!! LOL Why not just get a gas leaf blower and hook that puppy up to the intake and that way you can control the "boost" with the throttle, you can attach a little finger lever on the stearing wheel for the throttle and just squeeze it when you hit the gas LMAO
Goat Roper 02-01-2005, 11:25 AM The only use I could ever see an electric "supercharger" having in a car is to mount it very low with a scoop under the car and have it blow cooler air around your cai.
Maybe I'm nuts though, seems logical.
Hypnotic 02-01-2005, 12:21 PM I think that might work.....would take some fabrication, but, they you are going to have to have 2 filters, one on the electric blower, then blowing into the CAI...Might defeat the purpose. Thats if I am understand your suggestion correctly.

OMG this [:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)]* again........ [thumbd]
Goat Roper 02-01-2005, 01:01 PM lmao, yeah, lame. there is only one electric s.c. system that I have ever seen work but it cost as much as a normal s.c.
jaykirs 02-01-2005, 01:05 PM Aside from that plastic cheeseball, the Vortec is now listed at $2995, that seems pretty cheap to me, wish I had 3 grand laying around burning a hole in my pocket because I sure would love to have that!!

If I lived in the U.S. I'd be all over that......duty and exchange would be brutal for me [?|] .
jaykirs 02-01-2005, 03:33 PM What, nobody likes my "gas leaf blower" idea? oh c'mon, where is everyones sence of adventure LOL
