focus mike 12-22-2004, 03:45 PM do they have break in period or is it bolt and go?
do you need to upgrade any parts or just bolt and go. example injectors maf?
are they noisy or civil with the big pully kit?
what size puly is on it originally and what size is the big pully kit?
is a focus under warrenty still?
[:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)]* if your gonna talk anything else just answer the questions.

focus mike 12-22-2004, 03:46 PM wow you cant type in s. T_F. U otherwise it blocks its? wow [:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)]* lol
GreenEnvy 12-22-2004, 06:16 PM just bolt and go.
new jrsc fuel rail is about the only thing thats upgraded.
civil w/ stock pulley. only whines when under boost.
new pulley kit will void the jrsc warranty.
they cannot void your warranty on the car unless they can prove the jrsc or other mods caused the problem.
focus mike 12-22-2004, 06:37 PM focus central has a big boost kit for not too much?
will i need new injectors and maf? or leave what i have on there right now. i should run about 6-7 psi i suppose.
drewzx3 12-22-2004, 07:07 PM i would get injectors maf and chip if you upgraded the pulleys
Darth Focus 12-22-2004, 08:41 PM I cant wait to get my JRSC...I'm going to be the last person in the group buy to get it (gotta be fair). I plan on upping the boost, adding water injection, 42lb injectors, etc. etc. etc. I LOVE the sound of an Eaton Blower in full song...best sound IMHO.
But to answer the main question...bolt on and forget it. I had a JRSC on my Miata and NEVER once had an issue with it. THAT is the #1 reason I chose JR. Prior experience.
If you want to get in the group buy, I think we have a few spots left, click the link in my sig!
focus mike 12-22-2004, 08:54 PM pm your price i can get the install done myself. what is your price thats what i wanna know?
Darth Focus 12-22-2004, 09:32 PM PM Sent (quoted for ZX3 - judging by your info)
focus mike 12-23-2004, 12:25 AM is that FOne # yours on your sig?
Darth Focus 12-26-2004, 12:01 AM ...its our shop #
1turbofocus 12-26-2004, 10:24 AM You may want to hold off and look at the PowerWorks SC, It uses the M62 and is intercooled and is showing MUCH better numbers
The intercooler will help to run higher numbers safer ,the STD jrsc just doesent make much power at all on the Focus ZX3
Tom
DePue 12-26-2004, 11:51 AM I have to back Tom on this. If you have to have a SC the Cosworth kit is vastly superior. The JRCS kit just doesn't do much, tq #'s are low and HP gains are very minimal except from 6000-7000 rpm.
Look into the Powerworks (Cosworth) if you're serious about making power.
Darth Focus 12-26-2004, 10:50 PM Isnt the powerworks going to be for the 2.3's? All the fun stuff from Cosi seems to focus (no pun) on the new 2.3 motors and not so much the zetec's..

I'm pretty sure they have kits for 2.0, 2.3, and SVT. Kits look like a pretty good setup for a Roots blower[thumb]

I agree, much more complete and worthy of a kit. Should show some good numbers with a pulley and possibly a better tune. Although it costs twice what a JRSC costs, its all in what you want.
viney266 12-27-2004, 02:28 AM I saw this kit out at the SEMA show and liked what they had to offer. It is not cheap, but it shows good promise.

Well, as they say, you gotta pay to play. Any kit that makes decent power will cost you (Tom's, Vortech, DIY Turbo). I have a TON of money into mine already...and its not even quite up to my standard yet.
focus mike 12-27-2004, 03:54 PM on the jrsc site it says something like the motor makes XX HP at 7k rpm? can you wind the zetec up to 7k rpm's on the stock internals? what about rev limiters?
viney266 12-29-2004, 05:48 PM Good question.. Stock rev limiter is 6750 or 6800, the motoris out of breath by 6,000 in stock trim
