I am in the process of shoping for a TB, Header(short or long), and an ORP. I'm wanting more low end power and I wondering would these mods help or should I look at something else.
also can u have a short header and an ORP?

Is exhaust the best way to improve low end power? I've heard talk about new pulleys. Where do these effect the power band?

Air in, air out. Works with any engine from a Cox model airplane engine to a V12. Then you can go from there. Sure you can add all the bolt-ons first, but that is where most guys get discouraged because they don't see the advertized benefit. For example: I have a fat-ass cam. While it made a difference, until I added the SCT to utilize the 7200rpm pull, or did a full-on port and polish I couldn't maximize the cams potential. Now it runs like a rabbit in a hayfield.

I've heard about those fat-ass cams! Thanks for the info.

Whats better, getting a shorty header and ORP, or just getting the race pipe which is both mixed into one, that still connects to the flex pipe, just you don't have three pipes before your actually exhaust is after the flex pipe. Just wondering, I was looking into the Race Pipe, but then again, since I'm going to be getting turbo this summer I was thinking of just getting the shorty header and ORP so I could find some way to just connect the turbo to those, I know you would be good at giving me advice on this since you allready have turbo, right waterboy? Can you PM me some suggestions that I should do to get the most out of my SPI, and I have another question for you waterboy, did you do any other internals to your engine when you added turbo? I.E.: Low compression pistons, new cam shaft, blah, blah...

I think you should go with the pulleys first if you already have an after cat in place. I've just recently ordered a 50% race pulley for my spi which is about 3 pounds lighter than stock and I've heard it's good for about 10-12 hp also you could get a controller for the secondaries in the intake manifold. Basically it opens the secondaries at full throttle which normally opens about five seconds after full throttle this should also help with low end grunt off the line.
