Well, I couldn't resist. It rained today and I went trailing in my ZX3. It was really fun for about half an hour, and then I got stuck in about ankle deep mud. Luckily it was on a hill so I could roll down the hill and I got on some grass and slowly made my way up the hill to some gravel. After I got on the gravel I got moving again really easily. It was super fun, but I'm not ready to do it again anytime soon. :P

Anybody else ever off-road their foci? Stories?

off road focus, haha. Sounds like fun, but I don't think it's the right car for the job. I'm glad you got out though.

Anyone ever watch WRC on TV?

I love to watch it, those foci RS-WRC are hardcore off roaders. There are lots of ford foci too. They usually do pretty well.

I don't have a digital camera. :/ I think I'm going to try to buy one pretty soon so I can post pictures when I start modding it and everything.

And I don't know about anyone else, but I like the stock suspension more than I have in other cars. It's really pretty smooth in my car. Not much fun with the Pirelli P6's, but maybe after I get new rims I can get some better offroad-type tires to put on the stock rims so I can play in my focus. :D

Do the WRC foci that they rally in have the stock engines in them? Or do they have like V8's or something in them?

I've got to wash my car tomorrow now, it's completely covered in mud. :P

hell yea, too bad none of us have the WRC Focus to have fun rallying w/o the high chance of failure lol

all i've done with mine are gravel roads at decent speeds (there were bends so it was quite dangerous) and drifting on ice, which is just way too much fun :)

Of course if you just have to run the Focus, then you need some of these

holy schnickey's, my road was a mudbog when I went home for turkey day. not only a mudbog, but a snowy mudbog... i took pics at the gas station, quite impressive, I'll try to post later. The lower a-arms on the front were solid blocks of mud... cool! the mudflaps and mud+snow tires really help with the fun.

Mine is super muddy, there's mud EVERYWHERE, not just behind the tires. :P It's even on top of the car, and all over the windows.

Frush, I heard that there were only a small amount of 04 ZX3's with the Zetec.

I'm also thinking about buying a used truck sometime after I refinance my car and get the payments lowered a bit. Nissan are good for off-road, and I've also had pretty good experiences with Jeep, and some experiences in a really badass Dodge Ram.
