Ok, got my 2000 zx3 for my race/rally car but noticed my headlights don't work.

parking lights / turn signals work just fine.

turn the lights on (manual switch all the way to right) and headlihgts dont come out.

try hitting high beams, still nothing. also note, when high beams should be on, the high beam light on the dash doesn't turn on either.

looked under hood, 4 busted 10amp fuses.

replaced, and still nothing.

took a headlight capsule from my buddy's zx3 and plugged it in...still nothing.

is there another fuse I should be looking for, maybe for the switch?
I can't seem to find any other broken fuses.

thanks : /

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for headlights?

The headlights have a very large fuse or circuit breaker as well as two relays in a fusebox under the hood. If the relay or the circuit breakers are faulty you would experience this problem

just fixed the same problem. found it to be the relay was bad. would wiggle it and would work for a very short time. replaced it and no more problem.look under the lid of the box (under hood) and it will tell you where they are located.
will be r5 (high),r6 (low) or both that are shot. pull a different relay and try it. if it works then, take the old to the parts store and get new.
found parts stores don't list them, but if number is brought in they usually have them.

fuses 16, 17, 26, 27 under the hood are also headlight. fuse 59 under the dash is also for the lights.
if you still have your owners guide, all this is under roadside emergencies.

Thanks! I'll give it a shot tonight or next time I get time.
