Just wanted to say that I just purchased a silver '02 Focus SVT and I could not be happier. I looked at GTI's and Civic Si's but the choice became easy enough when I drove the SVT. If there are any issues concerning this car, i would greatly appreciate feedback.

Hey smart choice![thumb] I too compared the svtf to these cars and came to the same decision. First thing you should do is go to the dealership and make sure that all of the tsb's have been applied to your car. I've had a rough idle and the dealer replaced the intake runner clamps and now the car is perfect.

what are tsb's? I actually bought the car from a dealer, so maybe it's been already taken care of. I have noticed that from a standing start, first gear needs a little more punch to get it going.

TSB's are Technical Service Bulletins.
Since its not a recall your dealer does not have to fix it unless it applies to your car.

Congrats on your new SVTF and welcome to the best Focus board on the net.

You need to take it in for the TSB's.
I bought mine after the reflash TSB came out and had to take it back to get it done.
The dealer is not going to do anything except recall's.
Why do anything until the new owner ask for it.
I actually had a friend bring his new car over to show me one time.
I took it for a drive and the thing pulled to the left bad.
I could not believe he actually took the car with it out of align that bad.
I said, "dam bonehead, did you even take it for a test drive or are you numb."
