I just saw the caravan thread!!!

Drive in one day ... yup. But then stay for the weekend and head back.

I want to also find a trailer. Since there is AutoX ... I don't know if I want to drive the car that far and then push it out there without a trailer.

Go check the focusfest caravan section. I do believe we will be going through Dallas and as always the more in the caravan the better

I believe I found a tow setup for our edge to tow the focus. Exciting. Since, I am really wanting to AutoX there. [woot]

There's going to be a huge Mustang group participating in the auto cross event, would be great if we took home some trophies for that event.

I hope your pulling with a car dolly and not a trailer, a car dolly would be much closer to the tow rating of the Edge than a whole trailer plus car, that could easily go over the tow rating.

Well, I now talking to some people about borrowing their trucks instead.

You could probably pull it on a car dolly and be alright.

I don't trust car dollies.

The car would be bouncing around harder that could mess with the shocks, plus even at my height the car would scrap the back bumper on the road at the angle of the car dolly.

I know because, when it gets towed it at an angle it scraps. I've been towed by one tow truck that wasn't a bed, and it sucked to hear my car scrap like crazy.

were taking a goose neck up there with at least two cars on the trailer. cant have the roush breaking down again like it did for the last focusfest. But i just put the Roush back together. going to start daily driving it again for at least the next few months to make sure there are no other issues. but for the Dreamspeed Focus guys it should be Me, BigBody,Jason, Tommy, Tom (Obviously!!), Justin. Not sure who all else is confirmed from our group of non foci

The Houston "breakdown" crew is still up in the air for who all is going. I may just ride with someone if I don't get the SVT up and running. I'm not driving something with no cruise control that far again lol. Been to Arkansas twice and it wasn't any fun.

Well, let's hope the Houston crowd shows more than 1 this year ...

yeah that was pretty awesome, those cops were not happy. My wife isnt too happy about the timing of the trip but she is ok with it!! I will be in the same boat as Tom was last time. My first kid will only be a few weeks old during FocusFest!! so my wife wont be coming this time!

Been getting my Focus ready for FocusFest and did a little bit of trimming to the front bumper and removed the lower grill so that the intercooler fits a bit better.

Are there any more plans of times and places? I too have done a few more things to the 2012.... 2.5" exhaust and 10mm spacers. And a new shift knob (it will get a few laughs and a few likes). Not your normal shift knob.

For Houston, I am thinking about having us meet around Woodlands mall off of 45.
Head towards Dallas ... North Plano. And meet with the Austin, Dallas and San Antonio Crew.

Head north up 35 towards OKC, pick up the OKC crew in OKC. And then head towards MO.

Rough idea ... but will get plans going since we are just months away.

Haven't fully figured that out. I will be getting with the other city crew heads and figure out when everyone is thinking about heading out.

Ourselves in Houston, the San Antonio crew and any of the guys coming from Lubbock will have to leave 3-4 hours prior to when the Dallas crew decides to gather.

More than likely, early in the morning, probably 5-7AM. Be in Dallas before lunch. Have lunch. Then head out.

We would then be just under 6-7 hours away from Destination. I am towing my car, so I am by no means driving fast.

And if anyone from El Paso or farther south TX are going ... they may have to meet up in another city prior to heading to Dallas.

I may be game to host a couple of peeps if that is the case.
