Your good, front will be right even with the fenders. Back will be in about an inch or so.

I ran some 17x7.5 et40 wheels for almost 2 years, they fit and ran great.

And for tires, 215/45-17 is perfect.

With the 215/45/17 there is no rubbing?

Might even be able to use 225/45/17 but the wheel offset (further out or in than stock) can make a big difference in how they fit and whether they rub.

Anyone know if 214/45/17 will fit on these rims? There in the link but there 17x7.5 with +43 offset

A 215/45-17 is a factory size for the Focus SES. it will fit just fine.

Here is a look down the side of my car when it was lowered 1.5" with 17x7.5" wheels wearing 215/45-17 tires.

Here is the back wheel stuffed in the fender.

Head on front shot of the tire/wheel (remember is was running a et40 offset)

Same setup with 235/40-17 tires, still fit fine.

So everything will fit great from a 205/50/17 to a 235/40-17 tire on a 17X7.5 wheel with 45-40 offset.
