: xxr 530 +35 mounted on 2012 hatch
adamturbo 11-18-2012, 06:09 PM 18x 8.75, +35 :here you go i would assume that this is a first. i have machined my xxr wheels to mount to the 2012 focus bolt pattern. i also got new nuts that will work for my system. i have used a +35 offset and it looks good. i am running stock ride height so rubbage wont be an issue with 225 tires, these will sit perfectly flush to the car.
heres a pic of the new nuts and washers

heres the modded wheel. i machined the hole to be a snug fit to the new lug nuts and will use hub centeric rings for safety

UPDATE: done and mounted.
+35 offset is so perfect

Ox-y-GenIII 11-18-2012, 08:57 PM Nice wheels. And they will look great being so flush. Which tires you putting on them?
Indy'sexclusiveZx3 11-18-2012, 09:05 PM You have balls for changing the mounting surface of your lug nuts, why not get wheels that actually fit
Michael Jackson 11-19-2012, 12:11 AM Nice. Can't wait to see this.

adamturbo 11-19-2012, 12:23 AM i run my own machine and fab shop have built many race cars. these are not the first wheels i have modded in this way, our datsun rally car needed a similar mod and has had no issuse under the abuse of rally racing. so i am very confident that the strength is more than sufficient. besides i had these wheels i was going to use them on my evo but i ended up selling that car so the wheels needed a good home.
as for tires im running achilles atr sport 225 40 18. i ran these tires on my evo with great results, they are quite sticky and have excelent wet and dry traction.

Umm... I wish you the best, I really do. But those oblong holes aren't what I would call confidence inspiring. You better do all you can to get those wheels hub centric because I don't see this ending very well.
adamturbo 11-19-2012, 06:18 PM i have tight hub centric rings all machined up, the lug nuts themselves are a snug fit to the hole in the wheels. this really isnt as bad as you think it is. i do have experience with this all tolerances are to the thousandth of an inch.
drunkyoda 11-19-2012, 06:23 PM i don't care what anyone says these wheels will look good on there. also i am assuming you machined better quality wheels before...
Iheartford4334 11-19-2012, 06:33 PM cant wait to see a whole car pic

TheGlassMaker 11-23-2012, 12:13 AM I've heard of people having rims re-drilled but I've never seen any ever follow through with it. I know I wouldn't be brave enough to try it, I've seen too many horror stories on normal wheels. I do hope you all the best, it sounds like you know what you doing and can't wait to see some mounted pics.
Templar 11-23-2012, 02:25 AM Looks like they are going to be nice.
sailor 11-23-2012, 01:33 PM Got the right nuts & washers for all aluminum fitment, hub centered it should work fine...
Looks like a good fit to the car as well!
adamturbo 11-26-2012, 06:37 PM updated pics on first post, all mounted and installed.
Iheartford4334 11-26-2012, 06:46 PM looks great, now you just need a nice drop!

I wouldn't call that re-drilled I'd call that elongated. I've never seen anyone do that before. I personally would be leary but I can't argue on the safety because I'm not materials engineer.
TheGlassMaker 11-26-2012, 10:04 PM They only reason I would say anything XXRs are known to break with nothing modified on them. I wouldn't buy them period. But that's just my .02. They do look good on there. As I said before, all the best.

RAF_S197 01-29-2013, 09:10 AM These rims don't come in 5x108 bolt pattern?
