Hey Guys,

I just replaced the factory drums on my ride with a set of disk brakes from a 2002 SVT

While I was doing the swap I ripped the sensor out of the drum brake on the driver side and (like and idiot) ended up cutting the sensor on the passenger side. Come to find out this was the wheel speed sensor and now my traction control and ABS lights are illuminated on the dash[shameful]

The question I have is do I need to replace them with the sensors for an 02 or an 08? I assume they are universal from 2000-2011 but I don't know. The few places I have looked online list different part numbers for the 02 than the 08 but if they are different is it the connection or is it the plug that goes into the caliper?

Also if anyone can give me a link to a place that has them for cheap I would sincerly appreciate it.

Thanks Fellas!

Alright well I found the sensors for the "low" price of ~$30 each from Rock auto but they can't tell me if they come with the wiring harness or if it is just the sensor.

Here is their response to my question of whether the sensor came with the harness:

Dear Michael,

Thank you for your email. Unfortunately, we do not have additional information about this part. Please take a look at the part pictures of competitors who are offering the same part. The Motorcraft part should fit and function the same way.

Thank you,

Dilara

^^WTF kind of customer service is that?

Could anyone tell me if the sensors come with the wiring harness for plug-n-play application?

Thanks!

If you cut or pulled the abs sensor wiring near the sensor, then yeah you can splice or buy a new sensor & it comes w/ the wiring from the sensor to the plug, which is by the frame= rear cradle. So yeah buy the sensor & don't pull on the wiring, any more, huh!
