I currently own a 2000 SE 2.0L Dual Overhead Cam (DOHC) Focus. It's an automatic transmission. I was wondering if anyone has installed a remote start system on one and how difficult it is? I have a decent amount of experience with wiring but wouldn't want to go above probably a moderate difficulty level. With cold weather approaching it would be really nice to have as well as the fact that I'm a volunteer firefighter and it would be nice to be able to wake up for a call and start the car via remote so it can begin to warm up and defrost or unfog the windows and such while I get clothes and shoes on to go, since every minute counts. Also, what features are included in the remote start kits and what kind of price ranges have you seen?
