I just wanted to make a post to see if there is any intrest for a meet in Dallas. I'm thinking a Friday night or Saturday day/night. I've been doing some research on some country roads for a day cruise that may be interesting, but mainly something to get out of the house for Sonic, In N Out, Flyin' Saucer, etc. and meet some people. I feel a month notice is good. Like mid October. So anybody down to go drink some brew, eat and shoot the shit about cars???

Not much that I know of other than 1/4 mile drag...I've been wanting to check out Dallas Raceway in Crandall. They have test and tunes Fridays and Saturdays.

1/4 is fine with me. It would be fun to see how foci compare on the dragstrip. We could take over the strip for an evening. I have been to some meets, some with over 60 people (that's a lot of Focuses), and it would be nice to have a car meet that is centered around the cars. The social scene is the by-product.

Im down for a take over. Just need to get enough people interested.

I just spoke with Ken @ Dallas Raceway and as of right now, there is an opening for Sat. Oct 27th from noon to 6pm for us to come out and do a "car club" event. It's their normal test and tune, but they will sort of make it a special day for us and (if I heard him right) give us half the track to race all day. Should be only $20 to race ($10 spectator fee and $10 arm band to race).

The thing is that I want to get enough people here to come out. I'm sure this is enough notice for all of Texas to chime in on and prepare for. I'm thinking 15-20+ cars would make it more than enough of a good time.

I need a head count on who is interested??? I have to get back with him on Monday to find out if that spot is taken by somebody else. Will Sat. Oct. 27th work?

Ha I was at kennedale on the 5th I ran later that night about 12:30
a whoping 11.4 at 60mph lol (completly stock)

Auto? I had a zetec zx3 with an intake and went 10.7 before (manual). Intake that bad boy!

100% stock on 87 Oct auto and 17"s but I beat a manual with 93 a cat back stage 3 clutch and aluminum fly wheel 11.4 to 11.6 first race then an 11.691 to a 11.701 he didn't know how to launch tho.
