This morning I removed the Eibach Proline springs I have run for 10K miles and put the brand new SVT springs that I had previously run for only 500 miles.

Why?

-The ride is so much nicer with the Ford SVT springs, just a little more Cadillac.
-I do prefer the lower look, but I spend more time driving my Focus than staring at it and admiring it's stance.
-It is a daily driver and utilitarian vehicle, I can haul stuff again and not rub tires or bottom out, go off paved roads, etc

This is great news for me, my SVT stuff goes on Monday.

Many of us here even have 2" drops and have no problems with rubbing or bottoming out. One of the guys even has almost 200lbs in stereo equipment. The ride is obviously a bit stiffer.

I never had tire rub, or bottomed out; but I didn't haul stuff around or go off pavement.
I do intend to do both of those activities with the Focus.
The prolines were fine on my cross country 7000 mile roadtrip recently.

Around town here in Long Beach, the roads are so bad that any improvement in ride quality is greatly appreciated.

Definitely need the clearance for going offroad. I personally wont go more than the 1.5" drop of eibach pro kit springs. 2" is just too low and stiff for the roads I drive. I would like my kidneys to last.

I can attest to that. I was in Long Beach last year, down by the university.
