I installed Koni SR.Ts with existing eibach pro kit spings a few months ago. I replaced the strut mounts, sway bar endlinks, driver side ball joint and it felt great. Problem is I still have this clunk sound from my passenger side. I feel it in the suspension and it feels horrible. I had the shop double check the ball joint twice, they said it was good. I dont know if the bumpstop is totally gone or what, but its driving me nuts!! It cant be bottoming out on that side since my fat ass and most of the tranny weight is on my side so if anything driver side would be hitting first. Lower control arm bushing? Its not on all bumps, or not even on all sharp ones. Anything that causes a lot of suspension travel, and it FEELS like its bottoming out. Im wondering if the eibach springs are smoked, they only have about 40k on them so I doubt it. HELP

do you have teh front spring isolators on. usually that is what is causing most clunks up front. parts of the spring are probably bumping into each other.

Yeah the isolaters are there. I checked between the coils and there was no sign of contact, clean and smooth. I manually compressed the suspension and I can hear a frothing or gurgling sound, which Im assuming is my strut? The driver side doesnt make any noise, maybe I got a bum strut? They only have 10k miles on them at best, had them installed in early may.

Is the sound comming from the front or rear. If from the front, was the shock shaft nut properly tightened (the bigger center nut). This uses a lock nut and many people stop tightening it too soon as it does takes some muscle to get it fully tight. If left loose the spring can move between the upper and lower seats causing all kind of noises. The sway bar end links are known to create lots of noise when worn as well. These should be replaced when the struts are replaced.

its on the front, the nut is tight, sway bar endlinks are new,

Try lubing the strut mount bearing.
Use an aerosol spray lube where the top coil spring retainer plate contacts the strut mount.

I think its something more than grease, the strut mounts are brand new and had grease on them. I feel this as much as hear it, it jars my whole suspension. Im going to have the shop check the ball joint again, or the lower control arm bushing.

Make sure that the bolt holding the ball joint is tightened down tight. If it is even a little loose you will get a clunk in the front suspension.
