I've only seen one or two turbo kits for my SVT and they all seem to be overpriced, I'm not quite sure if this is just because it is an SVT or that turbo manifolds from regular 2.0 Zetecs won't work with the SVT car, I was wondering if anyone has tried to fit a normal Focus turbo manifold to the SVT car and how it fits, I've got a shop that can bend intercooler piping so that's not a problem and the fuel managment can be handled with a programmer and new MAF or possibly a Pectel controller however I'm not sure how the dual runner intake would react to a MAP sensor installed, hopefully I'm not the only one with these questions

Go here and read http://www.sportcompactcarweb.com/projectcars/ scroll down to the 2002 SVT project. They do just what you are asking. Based on what I read, it isnt a straight forward project, with alot of fabricating.

In Sport Compact Car's article they had to mount the turbocharger below the oil pan, this made the use of a pump to pull oil out of the turbo necessary, and is something I'm trying to avoid, I don't believe Tom's turbo kit needs this however if anyone knows please tell me as it is something that I don't want to deal with, living in Oklahoma City we have terrible roads and the low riding turbo is something that I don't want to deal with

the issue they had with the turbo being mounted so low was that they though the pump had to sit below the turbo, so the oil would drain to the pump, and then be pumped back up to the oil pan. in the most recent installment of the project, they found the pump could be mounted higher than the turbo and run suction through the line to drain the oil from the turbo. IMO, if you want a turbo, and you don't want to spend $6k, and you want your engine to blow up, then go ahead and get the Precision

Ya i read in one of my mags that u have to do alot of fabricating to get the turbo to work right with the svt.
