Ive got an xcal layin around from my '03 zts that i totaled. I remember ppl talking about sending xcals off to get them "reset" (not sure what the right word is here). I dont even remember my engine code. I might be able to get tom to pull up his records to see but i doubt it.

So long story short, who can i send my xcal to to get it reflashed or reset or whatever?

Thx in advance!

If the vehicle has not been returned to stock, we are the only ones who can unlock the device. There will be a fee for this depending on the situation. Please call in to our tech support department to go over this and to be issued an RMA number if you decide to send the unit in.

If you took your xcal and returned the stock tune to the ECU then your xcal is unlocked and ready to use on another Ford

So Live Load 3 doesn't work anymore? (loaded question being I know it does; but you have to reload a serial # IIRC)

Liveload works for loading files to the X2 and unlocking an X2 device THAT HAS BEEN RETURNED TO STOCK. If the X2 has not been returned to stock liveload will not unlock it.

Liveload also does not work on the newer X3's for anything.

The wording depends on how old your firmware is but if you go to the device info screen you can see if it is married or unmarried (locked or not.) If you have newer firmware it will list "unmarried" if it is unmarried and unlocked. If it is locked it will list either the strategy of the vehicle or the tune name.
