2003 ford focus zx3, D23 PZEV manual.

I have gone through our search engine, and only become more confused.

Now does the ABS work? Does it work off the little C clip, or is the bearing sopose to be magnetic?

I picked up a bearing from Advance auto parts, it's a National, and it has instructions that say take a paper clip and locate the small magnet on the new bearing, but then I read here, some people say the C clip is what the ABS sensor on the top of the knuckle senses?

So what is it? Napa wants $40 bucks to do the job, or if I can understand it, then I'll do it, but the Haynes manual does not help, as it only talks about non abs for the most part.

Thanks for all help guys, I'm hoping to get this done today.

Okay, after looking at it more carefully, I think I got it now.

One side of the new bearing it magnetic on one of the rings, and on the knuckle the wire sticks down through the knuckle and sticks out enough to reach the magnetic ring on the new bearing, so I got the top little bolt off, but it seems stuck there, can I take a flat head, and hit the end that stick out over the bearing to get it to pop out?

How much are new ABS wiring/sensor? And is it Ford only?

EDIT: lol, nevermind, mods delete this if you so wish to.

I slightly tapped it, and it came out, also I took a paper clip to the new bearing and found which side is the magnetic side. So tonight me and pops will push it out, and push the new in, and I'll reassemble the car.
