So a little background. About 5 years ago i put Eibach pro kit springs on my car with the SVT shocks. It has done great ever since. Well recently my shocks have started getting a little worn out and a little noisy. haha well i went TDY to san antonio and drove. i found a nice little road and promptly blew out the front shocks!! so i ordered the shocks and struts to go with the springs i put on some long ago. A couple of questions i have. Does anyone think that the difference in age of the parts will give me any problems and will the new shocks lower the car anymore or is that just the springs? Any help you guys can give would help out alot . thanks.

Nope as long as the springs aren't rusting away there fine. Shocks and struts do not lower the car, only the springs deal with ride height when it comes to focus'. Replace strut mounts with the new struts and maybe end links would be good if your hearing some clunking. Good luck

I thought the Strut mounts where built into the a-arms. or am i just thinking to much into it. haha I put in the springs so i know how to get it all in and out. I am just hoping i don't find anything really wrong when i start breaking into it.

The strut mount and bearing sit on top of the strut and are a wear item that needs periodic replacment. Its advisable to do it whenever the strut is replaced. Some good moderately priced ones are made by KYB and available online from Rock Auto Parts.

Just buy konis. Best money I have spent in a long time!
