: Damn ABS Sensor

A little problem here....

I did my wheel bearings this weekend.
I removed the ABS Wheel speed sensors from both knuckles...the passenger side when in no problem but the driver side i could only get in about half way and that's as far as it will go.

I had a bit more trouble getting the knuckle back on to the hub on the driver's side. Could it be that it wasn't far enough on the hub?

I am going to bring it into the shop to make sure my spindle nuts are torqued correctly in the next couple days, I was using a 4' breaker and don't want to overdo it. Are there any other ideas as to why i can't get the sensor back in?

By the way, if anyone's wondering, just get the knuckle and bearing assembly when doing this job, instead of getting new bearings pressed in, unless you have a press of course.

The bearing is not fully pressed in, bring it to the guy with the press and tell him to press it a little bit more.

Oh crappy, well not what I wanted to hear at all lol.
Guess i'm going to be really good at getting that knuckle off by the end of all this. I completely tore one of the new lower balljoint pinch bolts i had gotten from the dealer putting the passenger side back together, so the driver side got the "good" old one until i can get another.

Thanks for the info.
